| CAN YOU PLEASE GIVE THE HISTORY OF THE BAND? HOW YOU GOT TOGETHER & ANY PREVIOUS BANDS YOU WERE IN? The band was formed by my brother, Don and myself in 2002. We wrote the first record, just the two of us, and enlisted band members to help us with the first record and tour. That line up lasted through the "SUMMER OF DARKNESS" album & tour. I used to be in a band called FOCAL POINT and Don and I were in a band called TRAINING FOR UTOPIA. WHO OR WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR INFLUENCES IN LIFE & MUSIC? My influences in life would be Jesus, my parents, my wife, my friends. Musically my influences are bands like MACHINE HEAD, PANTERA, old SEPULTURA, old METALLICA. WHY WAS THE NAME DEMON HUNTER CHOSEN AS THE BANDS NAME? We were fooling around with some hypothetical names. When we came up with that one it stuck. It instantly sounded like something people would remember. HOW WOULD YOU BEST DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE & SOUND? I think our style is groove-oriented Metal with a definite melodic slant. YOUR DEBUT SELF TITLED RELEASE HAS BEEN OUT FOR SOME TIME NOW. HOW WELL HAS IT BEEN DOING? WHAT WAS THE RESPONSE BEEN LIKE? It's been doing really well. We've been pleasantly surprised with how great the response has been? THIS ALBUM WAS RELEASED ON SOLID STATE RECORDS. HOW DID YOU GET HOOKED UP WITH THEM? HOW IS IT WORKING WITH THEM? ARE YOU STILL WORKING WITH THEM? We've known the people at SOLID STATE for a long time. Our previous bands have been on SOLID STATE. There was an immediate connection. We love everything that they do. They let us do things our way, on our terms, when we want. We wouldn't have it any other way. PLEASE DESCRIBE THE MENING BEHIND THE COVER ART WORK? Our cover art is always based on our band logo. We like to keep it within that same format so that our fans can recognize all of our albums, even if they've never seen one before. |

| WHICH IS YOUR FAVORITE SONG OFF THIS RELEASE & WHY? Off the first release? maybe "Turn Your Back And Run" or "My Throat Is An Open Grave". I HEAR YOU GUYS ARE IN THE STUDIO NOW. HOW IS THIS WORK COMING ALONG? |
| We just finished tracking our third album & everything came out amazing. It should be mixed in the next couple of weeks. We couldn't be any happier with how it sounds. ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THIS RECORDING YOU'D LIKE TO SHARE? WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE ALBUM & DO YOU HAVE A RELEASE DATE YET? "THE TRIPTYCH" is the name of the album & it comes out in late October. HOW'S THIS RECORDING GOING TO DIFFER FROM YOUR OTHER RELEASES? It is much more influenced by the old school Metal that we grew up on than either of our two previous albums while still staying true to what we set out to do. HOW OFTEN HAS DEMON HUNTER PLAYED OUT? DO YOU HAVE ANY GOOD ROAD/LIVE/TOUR MOMENTS YOU COULD SHARE? We try to tour once a year in support of our albums. Some of our favorite shows have been in Wichita, Kansas, North carolina, Los Angeles and Texas. WHO ARE SOME OF THE BANDS YOU'VE PLAYED WITH? WHERE ARE SOME OF THE PLACES YOU'VE PLAYED? WHO WOULD YOU LIKE TO TOUR WITH & WHY? We've played with bands like EXTOL, LIVING SACRIFICE, THE AGONY SCENE & HASTE THE DAY. We've played all over the U.S. We'd love to tour with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE. WHAT DO THE MEMBERS OF THE BAND DO WHEN NOT DOING ANY WORK FOR THE BAND? Most of us work in the music industry full time whether it's in a band or in some other areas. WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE S& TV SHOWS? I like BRAVEHEART, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND, AMALIE & SEINFELD & FRAZER. WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR VIEWS ON THE WAR THE U.S.S IS INVOLVED IN & SOME OF THE DECISIONS THAT BUSH HAS MADE FOR THIS COUNTRY? Despite people's views of our nations leadership we thought we would give back to the soldiers that are fighting for us by writing a song for them, "The Soldier's Song", which will appear on our new record. It's for all of the fans from the Armed Forces that have contacted us over the last few years. |

| WHAT IS THE SCENE LIKE IN YOUR AREA? WHO ARE SOME OF THE BETTER BANDS, LABELS, ZINES, ETC...IN YOUR AREA? There is a great scene here in Seattle called 'Grunge'. Some of the better bands are ALICE IN CHAINS, NIRVANA & SOUNDGARDEN. There's a cool label called SUB-POP. THE ROCKET is a killer zine from our area. |
| ARE YOU INTO ANY OTHER STYLES OF MUSIC BESIDES WHAT YOU PLAY? WHO ARE SOME OF THE BANDS YOUR CURRENTLY INTO? MAXIMO PARK, DEPECHE MODE, FEEDER, OASIS, HIM, KENT, T.REX, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE. WHAT CAN WE EXPECT NEXT FROM DEMON HUNTER? "THE TRIPTCH!" WHAT WERE YOU DOING BEFORE THIS INTERVIEW? WHAT WILL YOU DO NOW THAT IT'S DONE? Another interview. Another interview...
