| CAN YOU GIVE A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE BAND UP TO THIS POINT? HOW YOU GOT TOGETHER? ANY PREVIOUS BANDS MEMBERS WERE IN? We formed about 3 years ago in San Diego, California. I met our other guitar player Nick while working together at Starbucks. We then crossed paths with Marc who was looking to get into something as well. We met Kyle just from running into each other at way too many shows. And last we met Jeremiah through our friends in SEVER YOUR TIES (San Diego band). WHY WAS THE NAME DESTROY THE RUNNER CHOSEN AS THE BAND NAME? Our drummer, Marc, is really into this movie called LOGAN'S RUN. Just watch it & you'll understand. |

| WHO OR WHAT HAS HAD SOME INFLUENCE OR IMPACT ON YOUR MUSIC OR LIFE IN GENERAL? The awareness that we were put on this earth to be part of a cause greater than ourselves & daily experiences & struggles constantly influence our lives & our music. YOUR DEBUT CD "SAINTS" HAS BEEN OUT SINCE SEPTEMBER LAST YEAR. HOW WELL HAS IT BEEN DOING FOR YOU GUYS? WHAT HAS THE RESPONSE BEEN LIKE? It's been doing better than we could have ever imagined. Everyday someone new finds out about us & our fanbase hasn't stopped growing. Hopefully it never does! Haha! |
| SOLID STATE RECORDS PUT THIS ALBUM OUT FOR YOU GUYS. HOW DID YOU GET HOOKED UP WITH THEM & HOW HAS IT BEEN WORKING WITH THEM? We actually sent them a demo when we first formed & they just so happened to like it. We didn't end up signing with them right away. We began talking to other labels & in the end, about a year later, we started to talk again & made the decision to go for it. I'm so glad we did. They treat us great & I think it's the best decision we've made to date. CAN YOU EXPLAIN THE COVER ARTWORK A BIT & IT'S MEANING? The natural purity & spirit of nature really symbolizes many of the qualities of a "Saint". The snow being white is a big part of that as the color white can represent that purity & cleanliness. There are also 5 transparent symbols through out the layout. A circle, an "X", an arrow pointing sbove, the sun & a cross. Each of these also represents qualities of "Saints". |

| YOUR LYRICS TAKE A DIFFERENT APPROACH THAN MOST BANDS OF THIS STYLE. CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT THE SUBJECT MATTER IN YOUR LYRICS? We basically just like to talk about everyday problems & struggles from a positive & hopeful prospective. HOW WOULD YOU BEST DESCRIBE THE STYLE & SOUND OF DESTROY THE RUNNER? Fast, energetic & emotional or at least that's what we're going for. YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN OUT ON SOME GREAT TOURS FOR THIS ALBUM? WHO HAVE YOU TOURED WITH & WHERE? |
| The summer before our record released we did a short west coast stint with IT DIES TODAY, LOVE HATE HERO & LOSA. Last summer we went out with HASTE THE DAY, SCARY KIDS SCARING KIDS & AUGUST BRUNS RED for a full U.S. & Canadian tour. After that another U.S. tour with THE CHARIOT, AUGUST BURNS RED, INHALE/EXHALE & 12 GUAGE VALENTINE. Did a short one with CATHERINE, OH SLEEPER & A LOVE ENDS SUICIDE after that. DO ANY OF THESE SHOWS STICK OUT FOR ANY REASON MORE THAN OTHERS? Honestly, I don't think there's been a bad show! They're all awesome! IS THERE A NEW TOUR PLANNED YET? WITH WHO & WHERE? Right now we're getting ready to hit the U.S. again with CALICO SYSTEM, ENDWELL & BLOODLINED CALLIGRAPHY. ARE YOU GUYS ABLE TO SURVIVE OFF OF JUST THE BAND YET? IF NOT, WHAT DO YOU GUYS DO JOB WISE TO SURVIVE? Not yet, I can't wait! Well, it's difficult to keep a job when you're gone as much as we are. We just try to pick up as much random work as possible when we're home. |

| WHAT ELSE DO YOU GUYS DO WHEN NOT DOING ANY WORK FOR THE BAND? Just hang out with friends & family. Go to shows...just generally keep it real. ARE YOU INTO ANY OTHER STYLES OF MUSIC BESIDES WHAT YOU PLAY? WHO ARE SOME OF THE BANDS YOU HAVE CURRENTLY BEEN LISTENING TO? Oh yeah, tons...MEW, DREDG, GOODBYE TOMORROW, DEFTONES, CIRCA SURVIVE, BJORK, THEIVES AND LIARS...so much more. WHAT IS ONE THING PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPRISED TO FIND OUT ABOUT YOU? We each consume a minimum of 12 burritos per week. It's kind of a rule or quota! |
| WHAT WAS THE FIRST ALBUM YOU EVER BOUGHT? WHAT WAS THE FIRST CONCERT YOU EVER WENT TO? First album: GREEN DAY - "DOOKIE". First concert: P.O.D. IS THERE ANY NEW MATERIAL IN THE WORKS? WILL THIS BE RELEASED ON SOLID STATE RECORDS AS WELL? We have been writing up a storm. Hoping to start demoing some stuff very, very soon. Yeah, SOLID STATE for sure! WHAT WERE YOU DOING BEFORE ANSWERING THIS INTERVIEW? WHAT WILL YOU DO NOW THAT IT'S DONE? Deleting all the spam from the bands myspace. So annoying! I think I will eat...a burrito, haha!
