| DO ANY OF YOUR SHOWS STAND OUT FOR ANY REASONS? ANY INTERESTING ROAD STORIES? The German "FUCK THE COMMERCE" Festival was really outstanding. We played there three years ago as the opening act & it was quite amazing to play in front of hundreds of people for the first time & having the possiblity to share the stage with bands like KRISUN & CRYPTOPSY. In 2002 we played the "OBSCENE EXTREME" Festival in the Czech republic in front of about 1500 people. That was a killer! And our Mini-tour together with DEEPRED (Fin) & IMMERSED IN BLOOD (Swe) in Finland two years ago was an amazing experience. it happened everything you expect of a real Death Metal tour: chaos, gallons of alcohol, crazy people, hot girls & finally a lot of new friends. WHAT'S THE BEST & WORST THING ABOUT BEING IN A BAND? Best thing: when people say our music has a special meaning to them. Worst thing: the countless hours of waiting until you can get on stage. |

Bands: DEW SCENTED, FLESHCRAWL, BURDEN OF GRIEF, VENERAL DISEASE, NECROPHAGIST, PROFANITY, HARMONY DIES, DESPONDANCY, ANASARCA, FRAGMENTS OF UNBECOMING, TEARS OF DECAY, SECRETS OF THE MOON, THE VAST. Labels: mhm, no idea... Zines: UNHOLY TERROR, NECROMANIAC, CARNAGE. HOW WOULD COMPARE THE U.S. MUSIC SCENE TO THE SCENE THERE IN GERMANY? You seem to have a lot of high quality Death Metal |
| bands there, sounding & acting very professional & high skilled, but in a way quite comparable to each other (especially all the "grunt n grooves" outfits you hvae over there). in my opinion German bands are trying to put a unique twist in their music - like the ones I mentioned before. they don't want to imitate, but to express something special within their musical possibilities. WHAT DO THE MEBERS OF EMBEDDED DO WHEN NOT DOING ANY WORK FOR THE BAND? Rainer (v) is a student of psychology; myself a student of German language & literature, media science & history & as a side line I have worked about six years for a local weekly newspaper as an editor; matthias (b) is a bachelor of Health & has something to do with massage & physical rehab; Christian (g) works as an industry mechanic in a factory & Jorg (d) is a male nurse & takes care of psycopathic drug addicts in a hospital (no joke!) ARE YOU INTO ANY OTHER STYLES OF MUSIC BESIDES WHAT YOU PLAY? WHO ARE SOME OF THE BANDS YOU'VE CURRENTLY BEEN LISTENING TO? I'm only into Metal music & I listen to bands like (old) SCORPIONS, IRON MAIDEN & BLACK SABBATH as well as to NAPALM DEATH, NASUM & DEVOURMENT - it depends on my mood, you know. But I really can't stand this so called Gothic Metal Shit with female vocals & these tons of fantasy-happy-true-sword & sorcery Metal crap! i think that sucks. My current favorites: SUFFOCATION-"SOULS TO DENY", DISAVOWED-"PERCEPTIVE DECEPTION", MY DYING BRIDE-"SONGS OF DARKNESS", IN FLAMES-"SOUNTRACK TO YOUR ESCAPE", GORGASM-"MASTICATE TO DOMINATE", MONSTROSITY-"RISE TO POWER", DISMEMBER-"WHERE IRONCROSSES GROW", DARK FUNERAL-"DE PROFUNDIS...LIVE", DISGORGE-"CONSUME THE FORSAKEN", MACHINE HEAD-"THROUGH THE ASHES OF EMPIRES". |

| WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE MOVIES & TV SHOWS? I really love the work of David Lynch, especially LOST HIGHWAY & MULLHOLLAND DRIVE. What else? DARK CITY, THE OTHERS, THE SIXTH SENSE, most of Kubrick's movies, DONNIE DARKO, you know, mainly very dark, obscure & disturbing stuff with a difference. TV shows? SOUTH PARK & SIX FEET UNDER.
