FRIGHTMARE is a TROMA FILM release, but is not done in the typical fashion that they usually
put out. A bunch of teens steal the body of a legendary Horror actor named Conrad Razoff and take his
body to the spooky house where most of his films were made. The spirit of the actor wants nothing to
do with the teens and wants to just be left alone so he can rest in peace. He starts haunting them and
doing things to get them to leave. The film plays off like a rip off version of the great
Gothic films of the 60's and 70's, but it's not that bad of a film. The main actor reminded me of a lot of
the characters Christopher Lee played in the
HAMMER films. There wasn't a lot of gore or scares, but
it did have a creepy Goth feel to it. The other thing is it has Horror great Jeffrey Combs in one of his
earlier roles.
