GALAXY OF TERROR is one of those Roger Corman gems from the early 80's. If your a fan of Corman's work, then most likely you'll enjoy this Sci-Fi, Fantasy Horror flick. The film follows a space crew on a mission to rescue another crew of the space craft Remus. Once they arrive at the craft they find that the crew has been gruesomely slaughtered. They try to figure out what happened to them and find themselves facing their own inner fears. There is a pyramid on the planet they have landed and when all the crew decide to enter things turn from bad to worst. Each crew members is put face to face with their own worst nightmares. The film was a hidden classic of it's time and helped spin off a lot of the Sci-Fi Horror & ALIEN rip off films that followed. When viewing this film now it's kind of laughable and cheesy all through out, but it's typical Roger Corman styled. There are some pretty intense parts and this would be a killer flick to be remade today with the technology that available now. The film also has Horror favorites Robert Englund (Freddy Kruger from NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET) & Sid Haig (Captain Sapulding from HOUSE OF A 1000 CORPSE & THE DEVIL'S REJECTS). Erin Moran, who played Joanie on HAPPY DAYS is in it as well. If you like low budget cheesy Sci-Fi Horror, especially stuff that the Sy-Fy Channel puts out (which Roger Corman has done work for) then your gonna love this flick.
