| WHAT IS SOME OF THE SUBJECT MATTER IN YOUR SONGS? About "KEIN MORGEN" I have told alreasy. "HEIMAT": the first song is "Auf Der Jagd" (On The Hunt), it's the story about a strong & wild wolf who is endangered by gay city dogs. The alone hero dies, if the whimps & losers unite. That's the situation all over the world. "Stoertebeker" tells an episode of the life of the North german hero Klaus Stoertbeker. he was a pirate in the 13th century. he was a Robin Hood on the sea. "Heimkehrer 46", A german soldier returns from the 2nd World War, broken & desillusionized he fears the future. "...Und Alles Nur..." is a splatter orgy. You can see the song as an isolated story, but you can hear the song as a continuation of "Heimkehrer 46", because a man kills his wife. She hasn't wait for him in the time he was so far away. "Deutschland" is a view on the never ending problem of the germans with a strong united country. "Feuer" describes the state of an amok running person & his joy in seeing skulls & stomachs burst. IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE ONE SONG THAT BEST REPRESENTS THE BAND, WHICH SONG WOULD IT BE & WHY? That's very hard to say. I'm sorry, but the songs are very different. You wouldn't get the right idea of the band if you only hear one song. DOES GOLD FUR EISEN PLAY OUT A LOT? PLEASE DESCRIBE WHAT ONE OF YOUR LIVE SHOWS IS LIKE? Our live activities ended as Sven was leaving the band. It was 2000. Since this time, we grieve us to distribute the releases of GOLD FUR EISEN & write new material. | DO ANY OF YOUR SHOWS STAND OUT FOR ANY REASONS? WHO ARE SOME OF THE BANDS YOU'VE PLAYED WITH? There was a show in Neubrandenburg, Germany (Northest). A friend of our drummer brought material to smoke, which was unbelievable. Two hours before the show, I take two pulls & I was four hours stoned. On the stage i doesn't remember the lyrics, the timing, the place for the pistol shot & so on. It was terrible. the bands we've played with are german underground acts. We were always the headliner. The bands called DEAD REMAINS, VICIOUS CIRCLE & other bands where I forgot the names. |
| TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT INTERREGNUM MUSIK? INTERREGNUM MUSIK is three things in one. There is the radio show INTERREGNUM (www.interregnummusik.de), the underground festival BANDS BATTLE & the management of GOLD FUR EISEN, DEAD REMAINS & PAINFUL DETAH. the time for other both bands gets shorter & shorter. Our whole power we put into the festival, the radio show & GOLD FUR EISEN. ARE YOU INTO ANY OTHER STYLES OF MUSIC BESIDES WHAT YOU PLAY? WHO ARE SOME OF THE BANDS YOU HAVE CURRENTLY BEEN LISTENING TO? I like many music styles. the best time for music was in the 60's. In these decade was it all there already. hear bands like THE WHO, THE YARDBIRDS, THE MONKS, THE SMALL FACES, THE LIVERBIRDS & so on (I can't listing all the great bands from this time). It was unbelivable power in this sound. The 70's were great too. ATOMIC ROOSTER, URIAH HEEP, BLOOD ROCK, GRAND FUNK RAILROAD, HUMBLE PIE... These list would be without end too. In Heavy metal music I prefer Black metal, Grindcore, NWOBHM & all the fucking Glam metal. But I like many of the other styles too. HOW WOULD YOU COMPARE THE GERMAN MUSIC SCENE TO THE MUSIC SCENE HERE IN THE UNITED STATES? I don't know the Metal music scene in the U.S.A. I have heard that Heavy metal in the U.S.A. is dead. In germany rules the Scandinavian invasion. Bands from Sweden, Norway, Finland are on the top of the sales. The German bands have many problems to get label deals. The underground scene is very big. In every club you can find a Heavy Metal concert on every weekend. But the politicians band more & more the Black metal gigs, because they maintain that Black metal is right wing music. You can band in Germany every thing, when you says : it's a right wing phenomenon. WHO DO YOU FEEL ARE SOME OF THE BETTER BANDS, LABELS & ZINES IN GERMANY? Forget the big fanzine, which rules the market. They are extremely politically correct. They start campaigns against bands, which doesn't suit them. That hits international bands too. Bands with a big major label in the back & a bigger advertisment in the zines are the lovely childs of the self called guardians of the Heavy Metal scene. Our festival BANDS BATTLE presents every year 30 underground acts from Germany & other countries (Slovakia, Czech republic, poland, Columbia, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium...). We don't make a difference. Heavy metal is Heavy Metal. And this kind of music provokes & has nothing to do with correctness. |

| time in the 60's. Or the old material from the USA, 40's & 50's. They were produced very nice horror & science fiction shit. And I like historically correct movies about the indians, for example SOLDIER BLUE (1969). It is one of the most brutalit movies ever. In Germany the censorship cut seven minutes from the movie. my favorite TV series is THE X-FILES. I don't like shows. |
