HATEFUL is a three piece Death Metal band out of Italy. The band started out back in
1997 as a one man band and then added members, lost members and added them again.
They have gone through a lot of changes over the years, just like most bands. One thing
has stayed the same though, and that's the fact they play unrelenting old school Death
Metal music. They have a style of European Death Metal of the mid '90's with a bit of
'90's American Death Metal thrown in the mix. The band plays some ultra tight and
extreme Death Metal with a technical edge. The technical parts could be some newer
influences that you would find in a lot of the Deathcore type bands of today. Their music
is very heavy and extremely brutal all through out. It reminds me of the good old days
when Death Metal was just starting to really pick up in the '90's. They do throw in some
slight Speed Metal elements within the guitars at times too. The vocals are done in a mid
ranged heavy and thick Death growl style. If you were to merge the best eras of MORBID
ANGEL, MALEVOLENT CREATION, SUFFOCATION, GORGUTS & SINISTER
all together, then you would end up with HATEFUL! Those are some amazing bands in
my mind to be compared to and HATEFUL would be able to stand tall right next to them!
