KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE is one of my all time favorite movies. I have seen
this film so many times over the years, but don't think I ever reviewed it. The film is about a group
of space klowns that fly across the universe and land on different planets to capture the inhabitants
of that planet. Their space ship is a spinning top and when it lands on earth it transforms into a big
top circus tent. A group of teens hanging out at make out point witness the ship landing near by and
decide to go check it out. They just think it is a special circus and decide to start exploring the circus
tent. Bad move of course! These
KILLER KLOWNS all have huge heads with scary sharp teeth
and evil looking make up that makes them look like monsters. They soon start to invade the town
and capture the towns citizens. They do this in many ingenious ways like a popcorn gun that
shoots popcorn that once attached to people starts eating them. There is also balloon animals that
come alive and chase people. Shadow puppets that come to life and attacks people. My favorite
was the ray gun that shoots at people and engulfs them in cotton candy cocoons. They take these
cocoons back to their ship and in a special chamber. Once the chamber gets discovered we find out
that they use the humans to suck out their blood for their own survival. The one way they can be
stopped is by shooting them in their big red noses where they explode. This film is not an all out
Horror flick, but a lot of the elements are in place and plays more like a Sci-Fi Comedy with Horror
elements. Going into a film called
going into a cheesy B-film that is not going to take itself too seriously. When watching this film, just
sit back and enjoy the rid, unless you are already frightened by clowns to begin with. There has been
many rumors for many years that they maybe remaking this film or making a sequel to this film.
The good thing about this is that it is supposed to be done by the Chiodos Brothers who did the
original film. Either way I would love to see another
KILLER KLOWNS movie and I think it
would do well as there is a huge cult following for this film! I want more
