Interview by Burt Wolf with Kreishloff, guitarist for LECHEROUS NOCTURNE!
Interview done May 2nd, 2007.
LECHEROUS NOCTURNE WAS FORMED BACK IN 1997. SINCE IT'S BEEN JUST ABOUT 10
YEARS CAN YOU GIVE SOME OF THE BANDS HISTORY UP TO THIS POINT?
Lynch & Clay Lytie. We had worked up some songs & were ready to put out a demo after recruiting guitarist
Chris Lollis in late '99, but the day before we went into the studio our drummer Clay said that he just wasn't
down with going to record or some shit. Here in Greenville, Sc. there was limited talent pool of drummers that
play this style of Metal, so we packed up in early 2000 & moved to Denver, Co. We hooked up with a new bass
player & a crack head drummer & tried to get these guys up to par...it never happened! So we moved back to
South Carolina to record with Clay Lytie again. We finally recorded our EP in 2003, promote that EP like crazy &
get hooked up with
EMBRYO RECORDS in Vegas. They throw us a deal & Clay & our bass player jump ship
the day we sign the deal. I've know Karl Sander for a long time so after 8 months of not playing with a drummer
I called him & asked him if he could hook us up with anyone, he said that Dallas would be interested. We started
to rehearse in 2005 & recorded "ADORATION OF THE BLADE" on
DEEPSEND RECORDS in 2006. Dallas
had to concentrate on his duties in
NILE & we had to replace him with Jeremy Nissenbaum. We are currently
writing new material for the next CD & planning a tour for July/August. Ha-ha, in a nutshell that is.
WHY WAS THE NAME LECHEROUS
NOCTURNE CHOSEN AS THE BANDS
NAME?
Jason came up with the name & we all
loved it right away "Sexual lust for dark
compositions".

WHO OR WHAT HAS HAD SOME
INFLUENCE OR IMPACT ON YOU
CREATING YOUR MUSIC?
parents, friends & teachers. For me, early
on it was Thrash bands & it just
progressed to Death Metal in the early 90's
until current.
YOU MERGE TOGETHER ELEMENTS OF DEATH, BLACK & GRINDCORE. HOW WOULD YOU
BEST DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE & SOUND?
Metal! No more, no less!

WHY DID YOUR LAST BASS PLAYER & DRUMMER LEAVE THE BAND & WHY WERE DALLAS &
MIKE CHOSEN AS REPLACEMENTS?
I answered the first part, but we played with Joe Payne ass our bass player for a bit & when we let him go I
called Mike & he was down to try.

IS DALLAS STILL IN NILE & MIKE STILL IN MONSTROSITY?
Of course.

YOUR NEWEST RELEASE "ADORATION OF THE BLADE" HAS BEEN OUT FOR A LITTLE TIME
NOW. HOW WELL HAS IT BEEN DOING? WHAT HAS THE RESPONSE BEEN LIKE?
I think it's selling ok for what exposure it has had, so far we have had positive reviews.

THIS ALBUM WAS PUT OUT BY DEEPSEND RECORDS. HOW DID YOU GET HOOKED UP WITH
THEM? HOW HAS IT BEEN WORKING WITH THEM?
DEEPSEND approached us & after a few months we decided to sign. Graham Landers at DEEPSEND is a great
dude & works his ass off for his bands.

WHAT IS SOME OF THE LYRICAL CONTENT IN YOUR SONGS & WHO WRITES THEM?
Real life concepts, to us real life is more terrifying & abrasive than most things people can dream up. Jason
writes all the lyrics, he & I bounce song titles & concepts off each other, but he writes all the shit.
HOW DO YOU FEEL THAT THE
BAND HAS CHANGED OR
PROGRESSED SINCE YOUR
"SELF TITLED" EP TO THIS
NEW RELEASE?
Big progression musically &
personally, that reflects in the music
we write. We are always trying to
get better & expand our talent &
dedication to the craft.

WHY HAVE YOU GUYS ONLY
PUT OUT 2 RELEASES IN THE
10 YEARS OF THE BANDS
EXISTENCE?
Fucking line up changes!
IS THERE ANY NEWER MATERIAL IN THE WORKS?
Yes, we have four new tracks worked up for the next CD. I am real happy with the direction it's going. The
songs are longer & just have more of all the elements that make up
LECHEROUS NOCTURNE.

YOU GUYS HAVE OPENED FOR A LOT OF BANDS. WHO ARE SOME OF THESE BANDS &
WHICH SHOWS STICK OUT THE MOST & WHY?
IMMOLATION, NILE, INCANTATION, KREATOR, DESTRUCTION, CEPHALIC CARNAGE,
GOATWHORE, KRISIUN, CONFESSOR, ANGEL CORPSE, FEAR FACTORY, MACABRE,
SUPERJOINT RITUAL, DEICIDE, CANNIBAL CORPSE, TRIVIUM
(not that that counts) the list is longer,
but I can't think of the rest right now. For me it was the
IMMOLATION & ANGELCORPSE shows because
those are two of my all time favorite bands. But the
NILE show was fucked. I was real into the set & smacked
my face on my fret board. It knocked my guitar way out of tune, bloodied my eye for me. I didn't even notice it
until after we loaded off stage & Karl asked me what happened to my eye.

ARE THERE ANY TOUR PLANS FOR THIS ALBUM YET? WHERE & WITH WHO?
All I can say right now is that we have tours in the make for summer.

ARE YOU INTO ANY OTHER STYLES OF MUSIC BESIDES WHAT YOU PLAY? WHO ARE SOME
OF THE BANDS YOU HAVE CURRENTLY BEEN LISTENING TO?
I only listen to Metal for the most part. Everything else seems boring to me. I listen to MARDUK,
ANGELCORPSE, GORGUTS, IMMOLATION, DARK FUNERAL, BROKEN HOPE, NAPALM DEATH,
INFERNAL WAR
, tons of shit.

WHAT DO THE MEMBERS OF THE BAND DO WHEN NOT DOING ANY WORK FOR THE BAND?
We all have day jobs & shit, but nothing serious. As little as possible so we can play music.

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU THINK PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPRISED TO FIND OUT ABOUT YOU?
I drive a '96 Chevy Lumina.
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT TO SEE IN THE
FUTURE FROM LECHEROUS
NOCTURNE?
New label, new CD in the fall, tours for
summer.

WHAT WERE YOU DOING BEFORE
THIS INTERVIEW? WHAT WILL YOU DO
NOW THAT IT'S DONE?
Playing guitar & smoking a bowl. Fuck my
girlfriend & repeat.

THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO DO
THIS INTERVIEW. WOULD YOU LIKE TO
ADD ANYTHING TO CLOSE OUT?
Look for us out on the road this summer.
Thanks for the interview & support.
