| 13 SECONDS (R) RAVENCROFT CINEMA (DVD) 2003 Starring: April Cole, Daniel Rain, Kevin Kuras, Robert Yensch, Sarah Corbin & more. This is a low budget horror film that is really, really bad. It's about a rock group who hold up in this old house to practice & record their new release. Once they get in the house weird things start happening & all their friends start getting killed off. This story was really poorly written & the acting was even worst. The special effects were also done very poorly too. I understand how low budget films are done & I love these types of films, but this was really bad. | 2001 MANIACS (R) LIONS GATE FILMS (Showtime) 2005 Starring: Robert Englund, Lin Shaye, Marla Malcom, Gina Marie Heekin, Christa Campbell & more. The only reason I watched this film was because of Robert Englund. A bunch of young college students decide to head down to Ft. Lauderdale for spring break. They stumble upon a small backwoods southern town. The locals of the town are celebrating & having a town party. The guest of honor are these students. What they don't realize is that they are what is on the menu for diner. The town locals are all cannibals & are hungry for the fresh blood. The story was a little cheesy & was a mix of horror & comedy. There were a lot of nice looking women to get you through the story & some of the death scenes were pretty cool. Christian Bale plays a top lawyer in a major law firm in New York during the mid 80's. He & his fellow lawyers are in constant competition with each other over every little thing. What they don't know about him is that at night he is a serial killer. He lures people to his apartment & swoozes them with his collection of 80's CD's & his luxury apartment. He goes insane & just starts flipping & slashing & murdering people. Then he has a huge major breakdown & confesses about the whole thing to his doctor. They just wanted to rely on the name of the first film to sell this one. Mila Kunis is the only survivor of the original killer in the first one & she supposedly killed him & got away with it when she was very young. She is now grown & in college & is set on getting into the FBI. She will kill anyone who gets in her way. The film is a bit slow & boring at times & is a bit cheesy as well. The death scenes are nothing major & don't really show much. This film should have never been linked to the first film. Check it if you want, but not really worth viewing.. |

This was a film that is based on the mythical beast that was haunting & killing people in a small village in the viking & knights days. The beast is actually just a man who was raised in the wild by himself after he saw his father murder in front of him. The village is run by the king who killed his father. They send for the great warrior knight Beowulf to come slay this beast & rid the town of it's fear. They battle the beast over & over again & realize the king is the one to blame for everything. This film is about two rival school cheerleading squads who have been in competition with each other for years. Dunst becomes the new leader of the squad & discovers that the last leader was stealing routines from the other school. They finally make up their own routines & almost lose the qualifying competition. They make it & go head to head with the other school. There is a lot of comedy in this film that makes fun of cheerleaders, especially rich bitchy ones. I didn't expect to like this film, but it was actually really good & quite funny. This is a low budget film that really reminded me of the Wes Craven film LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT. I found out it was originally supposed to be a remake of the film, but they felt it could stand by itself. There are two girls who want to go to a rave in the woods with some friends. When they find a guy that can hook them up with some drugs they follow him in the woods & they get taken captive by 3 of his friends. They torture, rape & beat the hell out of them. They then kill the two girls along with the girls families. The film is quite bloody & very violent & almost real looking too. It's not as good as the orginal, but it pretty damn close! | COYOTE UGLY (UR) TOUCHSTONE PICTURES (DVD) 2000 Starring: Piper Perabo, Adam Garcia, Maria Bello, Melanie Lynskey, John Goodman & more. This is one of those films I never really cared to see, but figured I give it a chance. It was actually better than I was expecting. I really can't stand Tyra Banks & was glad she was barely in it. The story follows a young woman from New Jersey who moves to New York to become a singer song writer. She goes through all the hardships you'd expect & winds up working at the COYOTE UGLY bar. This bar has all women bartenders who dance on the bar & douse themselves in water & flirt with all the patrons. There was a decent story & as said it was better than expected. If you haven't seen it yet, give it a shot, you might just enjoy it!!! |
| DRAGON HEART (PG-13) UNIVERSAL PICTURES (DVD) 1996 Starring: Dennis Quaid, David Thewlis, Dina Meyer, Sean Connery, Pete Postlethwaite & more. Dennis Quaid is a knight & a famous dragon slayer. He goes from village to village & slays all the dragons. He also is the protector of the prince to the thrown. When the king is killed & the boy badly injured his mother goes to the dragon to ask for him to give half his heart & save the boys life. There is supposed to be peace in the land, but the king has turned. The dragon & dragon slayer team up to help save the villages from the evil king, but they soon realized the new king & last dragon are forever linked until one dies. I saw this film when it came out in the theaters & this is the first time since then. The film is pretty good, filled with action, comedy, romance, good special effects & a decent story as well. If you haven't seen this film yet make effort to check it out!!! |
| DRAGON HEART: NEW BEGINNING (PG) UNIVERSAL PICTURES (DVD) 2000 Starring: Christopher Masterson, Harry Van Gorkum, Rona Figueroa, Matt Hickey, Henry O & more. I never even knew they made a second part to this film. This one is not nearly as good as the first & is geared more towrds kids. They found a dragon egg in the old dragons cave & took it to the monistary & had the dragon hidden for years. Once of the boys there discovers him & becomes friends with him. He takes the dragon out & exposes him to the strangers from the far east. They are hear to get rid of the dragon for fearing it is evil. The king orders his knights to slay the dragon as well. The story wasn't that great & the acting was kind of poor too. Maybe it's just because they made it a lot more kid friendly! If you liked the first film you probably won't really enjoy this one that much! |

This is the 3rd film in this series that goes a whole different direction. After getting in trouble with the law too many times Lucas has to move to Japan & live with his father or go to military school. Once he gets there he is quickly made the outcast in the school. He finds himself in trouble right away with the nephew of the Japanese mafia's head guy. They have a love for cars & they keep racing each other. Lucas doesn't know how to drift, so one of the other guys who can't stand the nephew teaches him. This film went a whole different way then the first & maybe the best out of the 3. This was a very cool low budget horror film that adds a little off color humor too. I really dug this flick a lot. It's about a bunch of locals hanging out at a bar when a stranger comes through the door covered in blood & carrying a shot gun. He tells them that some alien creatures are after him & tells them to do what he says because he's gonna save all their asses. Just as he says this one rips him through the window & eats his head, drops the body & splatters everyone with blood! There is a lot more cool gory parts in this film. The acreatures are a little cheesy, but everything else is very cool. This is a must for everyone who loves films like this. Let the feast begin. www.FEAST-movie.com |

A very intellegent young 14 year old girl has been chatting with a 32 year old photgrapher online for a little while & finally decides they should meet. They meet at a little diner & start talking & getting to know each other even more. She then goes home with him & they start drinking & talking a little risque to each other. She puts something in his drink & he passes out. Once he wakes up he finds himself bound & gaged in a chair. From here she proceeds to do many torturous things to him because he is pedophile. The movie had some cool twists to it & was done really well. You didn't really know who to feel for & that's the way the film was meant to be taken. This is the second film that is supposed to be conected to the original 70's film. The film follows 2 survivors from the orginal film after many years have passed & they have grown up. The boy now rides motorcross bikes & the girl is his girlfriend. They are to compete in a race in California, so they must drive their team bus there. Of course they go through the desert & brake down. they find a little farms house they go to for help. They find lots of strange things & then get attacked by the mutated family hiddin in the hills. This film was done very poorly & the dialogue & acting was bad as well. Don't bother with this film, watch the original or better yet check out the new remake that came out earlier this year. |

An alien does the narration of this film which is his documentary he has presented to his leaders on weather they should destroy our planet or not. The film is supposed to be a comedy, but it is more annoying than anything else. The narration is meant to be funny & add to the rest of the film, but it's more destracting & irritating. The film wasn't funny to begin with anyway. The title makes the film sound more interesting than it is. I wouldn't recommend watching this film unless you really are into Carmen Electra. This is an animated film about a young kid who lives across the street from an old man. He is always watching the mans house because he swears it's alive & eating people. The old man is always yelling & telling people to stay away from his house. The kids buddy helps him find out if this is true. When they almost get eating they wind up saving a young girl from the same fate. They then get pulled in the house & realize the house is alive & mean & nasty. They need to find a way to destroy the home before it eats everyone in town. The story was done really well & the animation was amazingly good. A bunch of alien creatures invade earth & burrow themselves inside humans & then turn them into zombies. This is a horror comedy film. The small town gets over run by zombie when a small group a people ban together to kill their zombie friends & the alien creatures as well. Most of the creatures are like giant maggots & they slither everywhere, but there are some other creatures too. The film was actually done really well & had a good amount of gore, blood, sci-fi, comedy & great special effects. This is another great low budget horror film that everyone should give a viewing to. The writing, acting, dialogue & everything about this was bad & annoying all through out. The only thing that was good about this film was that everyone of the girls gets naked & naked & naked. This is part of the trilogy done by the director of the great film OLD BOY. A young woman is released from prison & the story plays backwards to reveal why she was sent to prison. It is revealed that she took the fall for a man she was in love with who was molesting young children & killing them. They go through some of her experiences in prison with the other inmates. It shows how she decides to take her revenge unpon her release. This film is very, very cool. It has a twisted Quentin Tarantino type feel to it with lots of suspense, drama, action & off humor with a great story! This is one I look to own on DVD & watch a lot. They quickly become friends & want to become the greatest band ever. The only thing is that they suck. They stumble upon something that all the great guitar gods have in common. They were all using the same pick, which was passed down through out history & was carved from the tooth of the devil. They go on a quest to steal this pick from the Rock N Roll hall of fame. The film was funny & had a lot of what you expect from TENACIOUS D, but I was expecting a bit more. Some crazy circus ringleader who's circus has been shut down decides he's gonna sabotage Tony Hawk's Boom Boom Huckjam traveling action sports show. This is done all in animation & done very well. They captured all the skating perfectly. When tony is kidnapped the local kids ban together to rescue thier hero. There is a bunch of circus freaks, workers & Hip-Hop clowns all trying to turn Tony Hawk into one of their own, by forcing him to rid a scooter while wearing a chicken suit. Two best friends that do everything together discover a special staircase where you must count each step up to the 28th stair. Then you make a wish & if the 29th stair appears your wish will come true. The two girls are in a dance competition & the one girl wishes to beat the other. The other girl gets hurt when she is pushed down the stairs & then she eventually kills herself. The other girl wishes for her to come back to life, which she does, but she has gone crazy & starts killing all the girls in the school. There are some bizarre twists in the plot & some really weird things too. | ZOMBIEZ (R) LIONS GATE FILMS (DVD) 2005 Starring: Jenica Garcia, Courtney S Bunbury, Randy Clarke, J. Teddy Garces, Jamel Scott & more. Why? Why? Why? I don't know why LIONS GATE FILMS would release something like this film. I know they are known for releasing low budget horror films, but this was below them. This wouldn't even be good for TROMA to put out. The film is about a woman who works on the docks & is harrassed by the guys she works with & is also attacked by Zombiez. The acting, story, dialogue, make up, locations, shooting & anything else you can think of are all really, really bad. I have nothing against low budget films, but when your trying to be like a major film & fail measurably it has to be said. This was like watching a terrible childs play shot on home video. Do yourself a favor & avoid this film, there are much better Zombie films out there, be careful though cause there are also a lot more bad ones out there too!!! |
