| BLOODRAYNE (R) ROMAR ENETERTAINMENT (Theater) 2006 Starring: Kristanna Loken, Michelle Rodriguez, Ben Kingsley, Michael Madsen, Billy Zane & more. This is a vampire movie based on the video game of the same name. The film takes place during the dark ages & is about Rayne, a half human half vampire. Her father was a vampire who raped her human mother. A few years later he kills her mother right in front of her. She wants to seek reveneg & kill him. She bands together with a secret group of people who are vampire hunters to go after him. This movie was actually kind of annoying. The story was bad, the acting was bad, the dialogue was bad, the fight scenes were poorly staged & there really wasn't a whole lot of special effects. The only good things were there was a lot of blood & Kristanna is topless in a very cheesy & pointless love sex scene. After the 9/11 attacks on the U.S., peoples tensions & fears were hieghtened. This film follows a bunch of different peoples lives where they are put into situations of anger, racism & fear. All of these peoples lives crash into each other some way or another & it shows how each situation unfolds differently. This movie was very intense & had a very well storyline to it along with good acting. There are so many differnt emotions you go through while watching this film. This was one I didn't expect to really get into, but I would highly recommend it if you want to watch a film that is just a great film in every aspect!!! Rent this one!!! www.CRASHfilm.com |

I thought this film looked kind of funny when it was in the theaters. I know it's really a love story made out to look like a goofy comedy. That is exactly what it is. Will Smith plays a match maker for guys who have a lot of trouble getting the beautiful girl way out of their league that they want. He helps stear them in the direction of doing what they can to get these women. He helps Kevin James, which is the best part of the whole movie & funniest too. Will finds himself having trouble when he falls for Eva Mendes. There were a few funny parts, but for the most part the movie was a little slow & boring. | HOSTEL (R) LIONS GATE FILMS (Theatre) 2006 Starring: Jay Hernandez, Derek Richardson, Eythor Gudjonsson, Barbara Nedeljokova, Jana Kaderabkova. This was the #1 film the first week in the theatar & there's a good reason. This is a great film. This film goes back to the original formula for Horror movies, but adds lots of intellegence of recent Horror films. The story follows 3 back packers as they explore Europe in search of getting laid & wasted. They run into a guy who knows a great place in Slovakia where they can do anything they want. As they arrive in town & at their HOSTEL they are greated by beautiful European women. They take them out to a club to party & then bring them back & have lots of sex with them. Weird things start happening to them & they keep meeting different strange people. Eventually they find them selves seperated & in some abandond factory on the outskirts of town. Unfortuantely they find out they are there for people who are on a "Murder Vaction". These people pay lots of money to torture, deform & kill humans. This film was a little slow to begin with, but it kicks in & kicks hard. This is one of those films that will be talked about for years by Horror fans. This is a must!!! www.HOSTELfilm.com |

Wlaker & Alba are a young couple with dreams of owning their own slavaging boat & living in Carribean. They go diving looking for lost treasures & sunken boats. On one dive they find a crashed plane that was carrying tons of drugs. They also find the lost ship The Zephyer. They don't report the plane because they want claim to the sunken boat. The drug lords who own the plane find out about this & capture Alba, so that Walker 7 his friends will recover the drug loot. Of course everything goes wrong & chaos ensues. The film had a little of everything in it, action, adventure, a love story, comedy, hot chicks & hot guys (for the ladies). This film actually turned out to be a lot better than I expected it to be. | PUDDLE CRUISER (R) 20TH CENTURY FOX (DVD) 1996 Starring: Jay Chandraskhar, Keven Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, Alison Clapp & more. The guys who did SUPER TROOPERS & CLUB DREAD finally released their first film PUDDLE CRUISER. This flick is about a bunch of college teens who are after the pursuit of partying & getting chicks. The one guys falls for a girl, who has a boyfriend.he tries to win her over, by showing her what a jerk her boyfriend actually is. There are a few funny parts, but not a whole hell of a lot. There is a lot of dialogue, that you sometimes get lost in. You can see the foundations of the great comedies these guys did later on though. It was still cool to see where they started from. There are some cool extra features & interviews with the guys of BROKEN LIZARD too. | STEALTH (PG-13) COLUMBIA / SONY PICTURES (DVD) 2005 Starring: Josh Lucas, Jessica Biel, Jamie Foxx, Sam Shepard, Richard Roxburgh & more. When the military inlist a new weapon to the team, things tend to go wrong. There are 3 STEALTH pilots (Foxx, Lucas & Biel) who get a new teammater. Only this new teammate is a self flying STEALTH jet. It has an on board computer that is programmed to learn as it goes, so it is always upgrading itself. During one mission the jet is hit by lighting & it's computers are rewired & it makes it's own commands. It attacks one of it's own & goes rogue. After a while the things rewires itself again & becomes good again. This was a pretty bad film, with bad dialogue, acting & story. Owen & Vince are best friends who are marrigae counslers. There favorite time of year is wedding season. They crash peoples weddings in hopes of bedding as many women as possible, getting free booze & food & having a great time. Once they crash a wedding for a government offical, things don't go as planned. Owen falls for one of the daughters & Vince sleeps with the other crazy psycho daughter. There is a ton of great funny parts in this film, as expected with these two guys. Vince out shines in his performance again. This goes along with the other greats like OLD SCHOOL & DODGEBALL. | TAXI DRIVER (R) COLUMBIA PICTURES (DVD) 1976 Starring: Robert Deniro, Cybill Shepherd, Peter Boyle, Jodie Foster, Harvey Keitel & more. I'm sure most of you out there have seen this film already. Well, I just watched it again & decieded to review it. The film fallows Deniro, who is a Veitnam Vet that tries to survive in New York city by driving a taxi. As he does his job he becomes more & more disgusted by the scum, crime, drugs & filth he sees in the city streets. The more & more he sees the closer he becomes to snapping. After a bad split with a woman friend he tries to save Jodie Foster who is a young hooker from her pimp & set on a good path. The film is done quite well, especially for it's time & you can just feel the tension & frustration Deniro's character is feeling. If you have never seen this film, you must check it out. It's a classic!!! |

A man becomes possessed by 13 evil souls after he saves a woman from a car crash. She tells him to get her suitcase in the back & he becomes trapped in the car. The suitcase holds 13 snakes which were used in a voodoo ritual to suck the evilness out of dying people. He gets attacked by the snakes & the souls enter his body. He returns from the dead & is evil as hell. He starts to terrorize & kill all the towns children in a classic Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers style. Some of the story had slow spots & some of the actin was a little bad, but it was still a decent flick with some really cool death scenes & good gory special effects!!! www.VENOM-movie.com |

| ASYLUM (R) PARAMOUNT CLASSICS (DVD) 2005 Starring: Natasha Richardson, Hugh Bonneville, Gus Lewis, Ian McKellen, Joss Ackland & more. This film takes place during the early 1900's & is about a man who moves his family to an estate on the property of an asylum, which is where he works as a psychotrist. The patients are used to help fix up & rebuild their home for them. The wife of the psychotrist winds up getting close to one of the patients & starts to fall in love with him. They start having an affair & he eventually escapes. She then leaves her husband & goes with the escaped patient. She starts to become more & more distant as he becomes more & more violent. There is a weird twist of fate at the end, when tragedy after tragedy happens in her life. | THE MAN (PG-13) NEW LINE CINEMA (DVD) 2005 Starring: Samuel L Jackson, Eugene Levy, Luke Goss, Miguel Ferrer, Susie Essman & more. Levy is a dentist who is heading out to Detroit for a convention he is giving a speach at. Once he arrives in Detroit he heads to a cafe for a bite to eat & a coffee. he is mistaking for "the man" who is there to me a gun smuggler. The guy gives him a bag with a gun in it to sample the merchandise. He starts flipping out & waving the gun around. Jackson is an undercover cop who was supposed to be the one getting the package. They are forced to team up so he can capture these criminals. Eugene Levy is funny as usual & really made this film. Jackson plays the hard ass cop/tough guy as usual too. Brosnan & Hayek are a couple whoare theives, but not your typical thieves. They plan huge hiest & steel very expensive jewels & other items. Woody is an FBI agent who is out to capture the two of them. He is transporting a huge diamond, that they some how plan a trap & get from him. They retire to the islands & live in luxury. Once the FBI agent shows up on the island he is waiting to capture them in another hiest, when a cruise ship carrying another priceless diamond docks on the shores. | UNDERWORLD: EVOLUTION (R) SCREENGEMS (Theatre) 2006 Starring: Kate Beckinsale, Scott Speedman, Tony Curran, Bill Nighy, Derek Jacobi & more. In this seqeul we get to see some of the history of the vampire & the lycans (werewolf) & how each race came to be. There were two brothers Markus (bite by a bat) & William (bite by a wolf) who start the whole race & also the war between the two. Kete is the death dealer, who's family built the tomb of William & is the only one left who know's where it's located & how to unlock it. Markus is after her & now she must do battle against both species. There is a lot more information unraveled in this film but there are also new mysteries as well. There was a lot of good special effects, action, blood & a really good storyline in this film. I really liked this sequel a lot better than the first & the first one was great. The movie is about a redneck officer in World War II who is sent on a suicide mission. He is put in charge of an all African American troop sent to take control over a Nazi bridge. The only thing is these troops have never seen any action except for digging graves & latrins. This was an ok film for the time & for the fact that it was made for TV. It's funny to see how young Richard Pryor & Billy Dee Williams are in this film. Check it out & see Richard Pryor in a serious roll!!! |

A girl is murdered in the woods near a prep school & the killer is never found. Some kids at the school decide to make up a story about a serial killer who is stalking the students at the school. As they make up more & more lies about the killer, people start dying off in the same fashion as said in their emails they are sending out. The prank becomes really serious & out of control. There is a twist at the end of the film that keeps you guessing all through out the movie. Jodie Foster & her daughter are on their way home on a flight from Berlin To New York. Her husband was killed, by being pushed out a window. As they are on the plane her & her daughter take a nap, when Jodie wakes up her daughter is gone. She starts panicing & going crazy on the plane. No one seems to remember her daughter ever on board. The flight crew & pilot believe her to be insane & dangerous. She forces them to search the entire plane & she helps, cause her & her husband help design the plane. There is a good twist at the end of the movie, which all the intensity leads to. This is another movie that I felt was better than I was expecting it to be, but then again, Jodie Foster is in it, so it has to be some what decent!!! |

This is about a small island town off the coast of Oregon, where everybody knows everybody. There is an unvailing of a statue of the four founders of the town. Some mysterious fog rolls in & blankets the entire town. It turns out that the fog holds the ghost of a ship of people who the four founders robbed & burned to death. The ghost are back to seek revenge on the towns people. The story was a little week & had some wholes in it here & there. The acting was weak as well. The best part of this film was the special effects. Therewas noting too great about this film & was actually kind of a let down. Earl Brown, Craig Gass, Kato Kaelin & more This film was writing, directed, stars & was mostly funded by Pauly Shore. In this film it is kind of a documentary on Pauly's life. It shows you how he became such a huge star as "The Weasel" in the early 90's & how he got his hit MTV TV show TOTALLY PAULY. After his fame starts to fade off, he gets a vision of Sam Kinison & decieds he must kill himself to be backk in the spotlight. He fakes his own death & becomes very popular again, but once everyone finds out they all hate hime. | SOUL PLANE (R) MGM (Showtime) 2004 Starring: Tom Arnold, Kevin Hart, Method Man, Snoop Dogg, K.D. Aubert & more. In this film a Black man gets his ass stuck in the toilet seat of an airplane bathroom & sues the airline. When he wins his settlement, he decideds to buy his own airline, an all black airline. The plane is flown by Snoop Dogg, who smokes weed the whole time. There is a club on the second level of the plane, where Lil John & The Ying Yang Twins are performing! Tom Arnolds family is the only white family on the plane.There was a lot of racial stereo types all through out the film, but it was done kind of light hearted & funny! Frank is back, but this time he doing a different kind of transporting. He is the chauffer for a little boy, of a rich couple. The husband & wife fight all the time & don't get along, until their son is kidknapped. Frank promised the kid no one would hurt him & he always keeps his promise. There is a lot more action & special effects all through out this film than in the first one. Some of the stuff is a little too unbelievable & he reminded me a little like James Bond in this film. Everything has been stepped up more in thise film, the action, effects, story & more. I enjoyed the first film a lot & enjoyed the second even more.
