Justin Long is a high school kid who has slacked his way through school & is trying to get accepted into any college he can get into. After being turned down by everyone, he makes up his own college & acceptance letter to please his parents. Him & his friends make a website to make the school look lagitemate & a bunch of kids apply. All these kids are out cast & they show up for school. Now Justin & his friends try to actually run a college on their own. This college lets the students teach themselves in anything they want. It shows how every one in the country is in love with a TV reality show that's like American Idol. They also show how the president is a dim witted person who wants nothing to do with todays politics or affairs. He won't even read the newspaper or do press confrences. His staff wants to boost his approval ratings by having him appeard on the TV reality show as a guest judge for the final show. One of the foreign contestants is going to kill the president on the show, because he is actually a terrorist. | A SCANNER DARKLY (R) WARNER INDEPENDENT (DVD) 2006 Starring: Keanu Reeves, Robert Downey Jr., Woody Harrelson, Rory Cochrane, Winona Ryder & more. This was a bit of a different type of film. It was shot normally, but than animation was placed over top all the action. A secret government group has these suits that lets you take the identity of numerous different people, so you can blend into society unnoticed. They use Keanu Reeves character to do this to get involved with some major drug pushers, so they can get to the boss man of the whole operation. There are some weird things going on in this movie. It felt like being on an acid trip sometimes, where things were happening & being said that made no sense. There is a twist at the end of the film that kind of brings everything together. If you can stay focused & get through this you might actually enjoy it!!! |

Two guys in America must travel to Germany during Oktoberfest to send thier grandfathers ashes back to his home land. While they are there they cause trouble & mayhem there with the other drinkers. They escape & run away & get caught up with a strange German man who takes them to some underground secret location, which is the home of BEERFEST. This is an secret place of different beer games are held, basically the beer olympics. They get kicked out because there are no Americans allowed in the competition. They return to America & put together a team of their own to go back & kick German ass! This was adecent film, it was funny at times, but a little bit out there at times. Kim Bassinger's sister shows up at her house out of nowhere. She is strung out on drugs & has a new born baby. She takes off & leaves the baby there. Kim ends up raising the baby in hopes of her sister returning someday. Her sister does return, but with a new husband who is a bit starnge. He is really after the child, because the child has special powers to heal. There is a strong struggle between them for the custody of the child. The husband turns out to be the devil & wants to kill the child. This was a decent film with a great story & a lot of drama & suspense. If you like films with a twist & some what religious story then you'll dig this film. |
| DRACULA 3000 (PG-13) FICTION FILMS & TELEVISION (DVD) 2004 Starring: Casper Van Dean, Erica Eleniak, Coolio, Alekanora Kamp-Groeneveld, Udo Kier & more. I was definately not expecting this movie to be that great, but I definately wasn't expecting this film to be this bad. The film takes place in space where some bounty hunters find an abandond ship & board it. Once they are there they find some dead bodies. In one room they find a bunch of caskets, once one is opened they unleash Dracula himself. He starts turning the whole crew into vampires. They turn the ship & head it towrads the sun to kill everyone of them off along with themselves. This film was very poorly done. The acting, the story, the filming, the special effects & the stars where all terribly done! Many other films to watch before you view this one! |

After finishing high school Scott finds out that his girlfriend has been cheating on him. His best friend say they should go on a trip to Europe to meet up with a girl he was talking to online from Germany. Once they get there they meet up with two of their other friends they new were there. The four of them go on a bunch of crazy adventures in many different countries of Europe. I loved this film, it's a typical teen movie, but there are a lot of great funny parts, good story & good acting. | GONE IN 60 SECONDS (R) TOUCHSTONE PICTURES (DVD) 2000 Starring: Nicolas Cage, Giovanni Ribisi, Angelina Jolie, T.J. Cross, Robert Duvall & more. In this remake Cage plays an ex car theif who's younger brother has gone in the same buisness. Once the brother gets himself in trouble with some big time thugs, his brother must save him. The way he must save him is by stealing 200 cars in 5 days. He inlist his old team members together to help him accomplish this. There is a lot of action, high speed car chases, good story & more all roled in this film. I'm not big on Nicolas Cage, but I thought he did a good job in this role. If you dig lots of car action & a decent story then you'll enjoy this film. |

He goes out at night & helps fight against the government leaders who take advantage of the poor. He is wanted by the law & does what he can to help those in need. The government brings in someone to bring down the Iron Monkey. These two clash & do battle with each other until the Iron Monkey is unmasked. Now the two team up against the leaders. If you like fantasy type Kung Fu films with a bit of comedy then you will get into this film, but watch because the over dubbing can be annoying at times, but it's still a cool flick!!! |

John Tucker is a high school student who everyone in his school loves. He is the football quearter back & team leader. He is also a player in the school & dating 3 different girls at once. A new girl comes to the school & sees him with all three different girls at different times. She lets the girls know this is going on & they all start fighting. Then they get the great idea of hooking John Tucker up with the new girl so they can make him pay & dump his ass in front of the whole school. It takes play in the olden days when Cristianity ruled the world. The people of this town & especially the church & town leaders are on a hunt for witches. Anyone can accuse anyone of being a witch & they are tortured until they confess or die. Many peopl were torture for real in history of these means. They would wip, burn, puncture, beat even rape these victims. Once they were convinced they were witches they were burned alive in the town square. This is a very disturbing film, but is one that is worth watching more than once. When this film was released in the thater they would hand out barf bags!!! |

After a little time she reveals to him she is actually G-Girl, the super hero that is always saving the city. He promises to not tell anyone her secret identity.. She becomes to possive & he breaks it off with her. He is actually in love the woman he works with & she knows it. The ex then does what ever she can to torture him & make his life a living hell. A transport ship crasshes on a unknown planet & only half the people aboard survive. All of them were in sleep chambers during the crash except the two pilots. They scan the planet, which looks pretty vacant. They don't find any people, but they do find many remians of buildings & vehicles showing that humans were there. They quickly discover that the 3 moons will soon go away & the pitch black atmosphere takes over. When the darkness comes, so do the predator creatures that inhabit this planet. They want nothing but to eat & kill their prey. Their prey is anything that is alive, which is just these few survivors. They must fight to stay alive through the night & escape the planet. A group of young kids who were in a correctional facility are taking to an old hotlel to help refurbish the building. The thing they don't know, but soon discover a few secrets the hotel hides. One major is the man named Jacob who is going around killing people for thier sins. The only people he has not killed is the woman with cross tattoos. One by one he kills of all the kids in different gruesome & bloody gory ways. The story was pretty cool & so was the death scenes, but the actors are kind of annoying, so you really can't wait for them to die. This could be placed in a catogory of 80's type slasher films! | SUPERMAN RETURNS (PG-13) WARNER BROS (DVD) 2006 Starring: Brandon Routh, Kate Bosworth, Kevin Spacey, Parker Posey, Kal Penn & more. I never was a big fan of the Superman character, but still wanted to see this film. This film is supposed to take place 5 years after the last film ended. Superman has left Earth to go find any remains of his home planet. Once nothing had been found he returns to Earth. Lex Luther has been released from prison & tends to take over the world once again. Superman must do what he can to save the planet once more. The story picks up nicely that no one would be lost even if you didn't see the other films. I really enjoyed this movie, but thought it could have been a little shorter than 2 & a half hours long. Brandon Routh did a great job & reminded me a lot of Cristopher Reeves. Wes Craven directed this film which was originally done for television. After her aunt dies in a car accident Linda Blair's cousin comes to live with her family. This is a cousin she has never meet before. Once she arrives many strange things start happening & her family starts acting weird.Linda doesn't like the cousin & thinks she is a witch. She gets help from som friends to prove to her family of the girls evil doings. The story was ok for a tv film, but could have had more added to it for a real release. It was funny seeing a very young Linda Blair & Fran Drescher in this film though & you can see where Wes Craven starts his great career from!!! |

He is affraid to get behind the wheel & go fast. His father gives him the spirit to race again. He trains him in all these different crazy ways & does what he can to get the winning drive back. He is up against a French racer who has stolen all his glory! This is Will doing what Will does best, be funny in some really dumb stupid ways. In this third sequal to the CROW series the story follows the sam path as the others. A guy comes back as THE CROW after his girlfriend was killed. This was bit different though. He was accused of her death & was exicuted, but he didn't kill the girl. He comes back to reek vengence on those who actually commited the murder. He gets help from his lawyer friend & his girlfriends sister in finding these people & killing them. Eric played the CROW part very well & I thought he did a great job. The story is a bit low budget & is not nearly as good as the original, but it is definately better than any of the other sequeals. This is worth watching!!! www.THECROW.com |

In this remake of the 1970's original basically everything stays the same. When a couple is having a baby in the hospital the husband is told the baby was lost, but they have another new born that they can have because the mother died in childbirth. They take the baby & all these starnge things keep happening around the kid. People are dying, dogs are attacking & strange people keep coming into their lives. They later find out the boy is the devil reincarnated. He has come to take over earth & they must find a way to kill him. This remake stays pretty close to the original, except for a few slight things. If you seen the original, you won't get many surprises from this one. The speech shows how the world has changed over the last few thousand years & how we are rapitly increasing the inevitable end of the planet. There are lots of great slides, charts, video & audio clips that give prime examples of the damage we are doing to this planet. I'm not big on political people or topics, but this really wasn't done in a political way & I am glad that I voted for Al Gore as president, even though he didn't win (or did he?) This is a film that everyone must see & I mean everyone, because we are all part of the problem of Global Warming, but we are all capable of being the solution as well. In this animated film a group of forest creatures wake up after hibernating all winter to find their forest gone. They come across a huge hedge that is surrounding a huge housing development. They are affraid of what is on the other side until a racoon comes to their rescue & shows them all the great stuff they can get from all the houses, especially all the food. The racoon has a secret about helping, because it's really to get all the food for his friend, a bear, who he tried stealing all his food while he was sleeping.
