| CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST (R) BLACKEST HEART MEDIA (1980) Starring: Robert kermin, Francessca Ciardi, Gabriel Yorke, Perry Pirkanen, Luca Barbareschi & more. This is one of those cult horror movies in the underground scene. The movie is about four people who set out to make a documentary film on primitive tribes in the world today. They head out to the jungles of Brazil to find something they never imagined they would. They incounter a primitive tribe of cannibals. They study them for awhile from a distance, but then start to interact with them. They witness tons of perversion, cannibalism, animal mutilation, sex, torture & much, much more. The way a lot of this film is shot makes you believe some of what you are seeing is true. There is tons of gore for all you gore freaks, but you must sit through some very slow & boring parts to get to them. Still this is a good 70's horror flick!!! - http://CANNIBALHOLOCAUST.net |

| COMIC BOOK VILLIANS (R) LIONS GATE FILMS (2002) Starring: Donal Logue, Cary Elwes, Michael Rapaport, Natasha Lyonne, DJ Qualls, Eileen Brennan & more. Two rival comic book stores on the opposite side of town get some information of a very valuble comic book collection. When a 65 years old man passes away the two stores try to get the old man's mother to sell her sons comic collection. She won't sell to them & they start out doing tons of crazy things to get the lady to sell. Things get out of hand when the wife of the one store owner runs down the other store owner with her truck. They both get guns & start attacking each other. The one man hires a man to steal the collection. This is when things just get way out of hand, people start dying, things are stollen, stores are destroyed & much more. The ending is so crazy & bizarre that it makes this great dark comedy all worth watching even if you have no interests in comic books what so ever!!! |

| DAWN OF THE DEAD (R) UNIVERSAL PICTURES (2004) Starring: Sarah Polley, Ving Rhames, Jake Weber, Mekhi Phifer, Inna Korobkina & more. This is one of those movies I was a little worried about when I heard there was a remake in the works, until I saw the trailer. I am a huge fan of these types of films & was very pleased with this new version of this classic. The movie was amazingly good & actually topped the original. There wasn't a whole lot that copies the original except that there were flesh eating zombies & the fact that part of the film took place in the mall. The zombies were much more detailed & gorier looking & they ran, very fast like in 28 DAYS LATER. There were more people in the mall scenes as well. The story was much better & more exciting too. They added a little comedy to the story this time around as welll. This was an awesome zombie flick that would make any Zombie lover happy!!! The DVD contains a bunch of night club footage & interviews with bands. There are 9 bands included here playing different styles of dark music. The bands featured are THE EMPIRE HIDEOUS (Dark Goth/Doom), SHADOW REICHENSTEIN (Horror Punk/Metal), SAPPHIC ODE (Atmospheric Goth/Metal), NICKI JANE (Dark Fantasy/Folk Goth), SUTURE SEVEN (Industrial/Metal), FIVE STAR DIVE (Goth/New Wave Metal), LEVIATHAN (Dark Doom/Metal), BELLA MORTE (Electronic Metal), DEAD EMOTION (Dark Metal). | ENVY (PG-13) DREAMWORKS (2004) Starring: Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Rachel Weisz, Amy Poghler & Christopher Walken I was expecting this movie to be very funny, since everything I've seen Jack Black or Ben Stiller in I've liked. Jack & Ben are best friends who live across the street from each other & work together. Jack is always coming up with crazy ideas for inventions until one actually works. He comes up with a product that you spray on dog poo & it makes it disappear called VaPooRize. He asks Ben to go in on it, but he doesn't thibnk it will sell & doesn't go in on it. The product is a huge success & Jack becomes ridiculously wealthy. He builds a huge house across the street with tons of crazy stuff like a merry go round, a go kart race track, archery target areas & a horse ranch with a horse named corky. Ben sees this day in & day out & becomes more & more frustrated. Jack & Ben did a great job & played well off each other. There was tons of funny stuff all through out as well as some dark & balck humor especially with the parts with Christopher Walken. | GATOR BAIT (R) SEBASTIAN FILMS LIMITED/PARAMOUNT PICTURES (1976) Starring: Claudia Jennings, Sam Gilman, Douglas Dirkson, Clyde Ventura, Bill Thurman & more. This is one of those 70's cult movies where the woman is the both the damsel & the hero. I love these types of films. In this one it's about a woman who lives in the swamp lands of cajun country with her young son & teenage daughter. Their lives were going well until they are ambushed by a family of backwoods cajun inbreds. They attack the woman, but she fights back & escapes. They eventually find her home & attack her children. After they attempt to rape & eventually kill the daughetr the son escapes too. He finds his mother who then goes on a rampage of revenge & slowly & brutally starts to pick off the family members. They are releaved once the sheriff & his debuty show up, but come to realize they are just as bad as the inbred family. I've always liked these 70's type films. As usual there are some slow spots, but there is enough going on to keep you hooked in. This is another cult 70's movie that needs to be checked out!!! |

| GINGER SNAPS (R) LIONS GATE FILMS (2000) Starring: Emily Perkins, Kathrine Isabelle, Kris Lemche, Jesse Moss, Danielle Hampton & more. This movie is one I heard a lot about, but never got to see until now. The movie is about two outcast sisters who have made a pack to stick together no matter what. They have a strange obsession with death & the macabre, of course then they constantly get picked on & treated like crap from all the jocks, preppies & richies. There is some werewolf like beast that's been feeding on all the neighborhood dogs & everyone thinks the girls are behind it. They go out in search of the beast, when they unfourtanetly find it. One of the girls gets attacked, beaten & mauled, but survives. She starts to change over the weeks as she slowly begins to turn into a werewolf. She goes on a violent killing spree & starts tearing apart all the people who treated them like shit! The movie was very good & filled with enough gore & dark comedy for horror fans!
