| ANTS (NR) USA HOME VIDEO (DVD) 1977 Starring: Suzanne Somers, Robert Foxworth, Myrna Loy, Lynda Day George, Gerald Gordon & more. A small time buisness man is looking to make some big cash, so he buys an old hotel that he is going to redo & turn it into a casino resort. There is a construction crew on the grounds digging up the earth for the renovations. When one of the men gets trapped in one of the ditchs, everyone goes in a panic. They finally pull him free, but it's too late. He was attacked by deadly ants. Soon the whole area becomes infested by these deadly ants & many more people become swarmed & lkilled by these ants. The film was a bit cheesy, with poor story & acting, but it was originally made for TV in the 70's. Nothing special, just your typical insect attacking the human race for revenge type film! There's been better, but there has also been much worst!!! |
| BARE BEHIND BARS (UR) BLUE UNDERGROUND (DVD) 1980 Starring: Maria Stella Splendore, Marta Anderson, Danielle Ferrite, Neide Ribeiro, Sonia Regina & more. This is a Brazilian sexploitation film about a womens prison. This film has a lot of the same qualities as the 70's women in prison sexploitation films. There is a girl sent to prison for a crime she did not do who is treated like crap by the other inmates. She becomes the favorite of the warden who sexually seduces & abuses her. After she has had enough she makes a plot to escape the prison. Some of the other inmates join her on the escape. There is plenty of nudity, shower scenes & sex galore in this movie. This film was so close to being a porno that I can't belive it wasn't. This was one of the better women in prison movies I have seen!!! |
| BASIC INSTINCT 2 (R) - COLUMBIA PICTURES (DVD) 2006 Starring: Sharon Stone, David Morrissey, Charlotte Rampling, David Thewlis, Hugh Dancy & more. I actually rented this film to see how bad it was going to be, but I was surprised. This film was actually much better than the original movie. The story was better, much more involved & had a better twist to it. Stone is an author who is now living in London & has some wild excapades. When some people start turning up dead, she becomes suspect # 1. She is sent to see a doctor who keeps her under evaluation. They become sexually intangled & things get more supenseful & twisted from there. The story was very involved & really held my interest more than the first film. | BRICK (R) FOCUS FEATURES (DVD) 2005 Starring: Joseph Gorden Levitt, Nora Zehetner, Lucas Haas, Noah Fliess, Matt Oleary & more. The story follows the actions of a outsider kid at his school after some events involving his ex-girlfriend. He gets some weird messages about meeting someplace & he finds his ex there, but she is dead facdown in a small stream. He tries to uncover the events that led up to her death. He starts investigating in the wrong crowd which is full of jocks, drugs, crime, & murder. He uncovers a whole underworld that exist in his school & neighborhood. He becomes tight with these people eventually & then sets a plan into action to make it explode from the inside. | CUBE ZERO (R) LIONS GATE FILMS (DVD) 2004 Starring: Zachery Bennett, Cassandra Rains, Michael Riley, Martin Roach, David Huband & more. This is the third part of the CUBE movie series, but it actually takes place before the other two films. This edition shows the perspective of the people who are on the outside that monitor the actions of the people in the cube. When one of the guys is going through the victims files he finds that one of them did not sign up for the experiment. He wants to save her & get her out of the cube. He breaks many of the rules he is told to keep & then enters the cube himself to help rescue her. There is some cool twists in this one that were not in the other film & the inside of the cube is different again. This was a fresh twist on this already cool series!!! |

This is the fourth installment in the HARRY POTTER series. This time there are a bunch of schools from around the world all coming together for an Olympic type gaming event. There are new characters introduced in this film, some good, some bad. Each school must toss their names in the goblet of fire to see who is chosen to compete in the games. There are a lot more special effects & a bit more interesting story line in this film. This edition was also a bit darker & more violent in some parts. | ICE AGE 2: THE MELTDOWN (PG) 20TH CENTURY FOX (On Plane) 2006 Starring: Ray Ramono, John Leguizamo, Dennis Leary, Queen Latifah, Sean William Scott & more. I watched this film on the plane home from my trip in England. In this sequel the guys must try to get to the highest point they know of before the meltdown & everything gets covered in water. They follow a huge migration of animals all trying to get there. Along the way they get side tracked & run into another wully mammoth & two possums who are lost. They eventually try to help each other find the high point everyone is looking for. There are a ton of jokes & funny slapstick parts all through out. A group of extremist take over control of a huge bank in New York City, which looks like a typical bank robbery, but it's not. There are tons of people inside & they take them all as hostages. These guys are well planned & everything figured out. Denzel comes in to try & negotiate with them & figure out what is going on. These guys are not here for the money, but something more important in one of the safe deposit boxes that has to do with the owner of the bank. There is a really good story here, with some really intense moments & a lot of suspense. | METHOD (R) TRADE MARK FILMS (DVD) 2004 Starring: Elizabeth Hurley, Jeremy Sisto, Carmen Du Sautoy, Oliver Tobias, Sam Douglas & more. Elizabeth Hurley is an actress portraying murderer in a period piece. The story follows her actions on the film set as well as off. She gets so caught up in the role that she stays in character while on the set & won't address anyone unless they acknowledge as her character. Things become a little twisted as she starts acting strange & people around start dying on & off set. Her over bearing mother trys to control her actions, but nothing seems to help. There is a twist at the end of the film that leaves you a bit of guessing. This wasn't the most thrilling film, but it was interesting enough to hold you watching & trying to figure out what was real & what wasn't!!! |

The story folows an Indian family that lives in London, England. They are driving down the street when they get into a car accident. The parents die & the only survivor is the young daughter, but she loses her eyesight. She lives with her grand mother & has an operation to rstore her sight when she is 18. She gets her sight back, but see visions of a brutal murder & tries to piece the stuff together to solve the crime. She gets haunted by demons & ghost from other murders, that force her into a crazy search for the truth of this crime. It was a little like FINAL DESTINATION, but with a bit of a different story. In this film there are a bunch of people on a cruise ship called POSEIDON. On the night of New Years Eve the ship is hit by a rogue wave that top sizes the ship. Many people die in the initial accident. The ones who survive try to clime their way to the bottom of the ship, which is now the top to escape through the proppeller shoots. Along the way they find themselves in many more situations of survival. Some people make it out & many don't. There was a lot of action & adventure in this film & a load of suspense & tensity. Robin Williams is a father who's job is in jeopardy & does what he can to save it & the lifestyle his family has grown to love. In order to do so he must drive an RV crosscountry to a buisness meeting for his boss. He tries to make a family vacation out of it along the way. Of course there is tons of mishap that goes down on the trip. He tries to connect with his wife & kids which fails, but eventually works itself out. This film reminded me a lot of the VACATION movies with Chevy Chase. This movie was actually really funny & had a bunch of crazy insane great comedic slap stick type parts. | SQUIRM (R) MGM (DVD) 1976 Starring: Don Scardino, Patricia Pearly, R.A. Dow, Naomi Sanders, Fran Higgins & more. I saw this movie when I was a little kid about 6 or 7 & was kind of freaked out by it. Now I can't believe I was. A small town is hit by an electrical storm that knocks out all the power. Some of the downed power lines hit a bait store & caused all the worms to become vicious & rise up from the ground & attack it's residents. The town starts to fill up with tons & tons of worms that fill the homes & devour anyone they can. The story was a bit cheesy & so was the acting, but for it's time it had some pretty decent maku effects for a low budget Creature Horror film! Not a favorite, but worth a few viewings!!! |

This film is about a little person who works in a train store with his only friend, the owner. When the owner passes he is left a train station stop that his friend owned. With no other friends he moves into this station to live & be with the one thing he loves, trains. After he gets settled in, some of the local town folks try to become friends with him & he keeps pushing them away in fear of becoming close to anyone. They keep persuing him & eventually he breaks down & lets them into his life & he becomes great friends with them. There is a really good heartwarming story in this film. I didn't expect to like it that much, but I actually loved it & thought the charcters were great & so was the story itself. Three misfits who are very uncool & shuned from the rest of the people in town stick together & are best friends. When they see a bunch of little kids getting picked on at a baseball field they decide to take on all the little league teams to prove they can beat the bullys at their own game.They get help from John Lovitz who is a rich geek in town & sponsers their team. There were a few funny parts in this film, but most of the stuff was very gross & disgusting stuff like snot, boogies, poop, piss & more. I don't mind this stuff, but at least make it funny. Kinnear is a buisness man who is sent on a buisness trip to Mexico to seal a deal with a client. When the deal doesn't go through he finds himself drunk in the hotels bar. there he runs into Brosnans character who is a hitman. They start talking & hanging out with each other. Brosnan reveals his line of work to Kinnear, who doesn't believe him. Brosnan wants out & needs Kinnears help, but he won't do it. they go their seperate ways until they meet again & he needs his help again. Someone is after him & he wants to get them before they get him. The story was ok, a little slow at times & it came off like it was a comedy, but there was very few funny parts. I only rented this film because of Gillian Anderson of the X-FILES was in it. She has a very small part towards the end of the film. The story is a documentary comedy about a film crew making a movie about a period piece following a generals life in the British military. The film switches back & forth between the film in the movie & the actors playing those parts. Its a bit of a twist & shows how they struggle to get things acurate & how to pay for all the stuff in the film. This movie takes place in a futuristic society in London England, where the government rules everything. There is a man who shows up & blows up a building in the city to start the revolution. This man has some personal reasons for the revolution as well as political ones. He does some pirate broadcast, sends letters to the press & leaves his markings all around town. The people start to believe his ways & begin to rise up against the government. There is a lot of action in this film, with some cool fight scens, but there is also a lot of dialogue that gets really boring at times.
