ANTHENORA - SOULGRINDER
(12 track CD) MY GRAVEYARD PRODUCTIONS
ANTHENORA is a very tight & technical sounding Power Metal band out of Italy. These guys
have a very old school meets modern Power Metal sound. I really dig the way they inject lots of
Thrash Metal & Speed Metal influences into their sound. These influences show up mainly in
the guitar work a lot. The music is crystal clear, tight & very progressive sounding as well. The
vocals are done in a mid ranged clean Power Metal style with a few harsher Thrash Metal type
vocals here & there. These guys are definitely a band that everyone into this style of music
should check out! These guys deliver in every way!!!

music. They have a combined style of old school & new school elements. The music is done
kind of raw, harsh & really old school style, but then they throw in some very atmospheric &
symphonic sounding new school parts. The music has a slow dirge dragging sound at times that
is kind of like a creeping up on you vibe. The vocals are done in a mid ranged really throaty &
higher pitched Black Metal screams. Black Metal hordes from past & now will find something
they can really enjoy with these guys!!!

DUST IS EVERYWHERE plays a very cool vintage old school Black Metal style of music.
They have a very very harsh & aggressive old school sound that pulls influences from
GORGOROTH, old MAYHEM, old DARK FUNERAL & BEHEMOTH. They blanket their
sound with a very frigged cold vibe all through out. There are fast paced non stop blast beats
along with some down tempo riffs too. They melt in some very atmospheric & haunting parts to
balance things out a bit. The vocals are done in a mid ranged throaty & groggy Black Metal style
with lots of faster paced Black Metal screams mixed in. I would say these guys are going to be
one of the bigger & better Black Metal bands to keep watching!!!

scene today. EYES SET TO KILL take their music to new levels. They are not your typical
Screamo band. They have a lot of elements of Death Metal, Thrash, Hardcore & even Black
metal mixed within. The music is well structured & flows nicely from one style to the next. I
really dig the way Alexia's female vocals compliment Brandon's screaming style of vocals &
vice versa. They go from all out violent aggression into melodic & atmospheric styles. I loved
every aspect of this band & will be really shock if they don't become very huge this year! The
closest band I can think of to compare them to would have to be LACUNA COIL!

I wasn't sure what to expect with this band, but I know I was digging it a lot. GLAUKON

chaotic, but that's how it's supposed to be. I liked when they tossed in some of the sound clips,
effects & samples into the music. There are some vocal, but they are distorted & chaotic, just
like the music. These guys are very out there & strange & that is exactly why I was loving this.

RISE RECORDS has released another great debut release from another great band, this time in
the form of HERE I COME FALLING out of Springfield, Mo. These guys take their Screamo
style to another level. The bands foundation does lie heavily in the Screamo style, but add in
touches of Metal, Hardcore & Death Metal into the mix. The music has a really thick crushing
Technical Metal style with heavy grooved oriented Hardcore. The Death Metal influences come
from the brutal fast paced hard hitting rhythm the music has. The vocals cross over into all these

This is the second offering from this German/Greek Rock Metal band. These guys have such a
strong powerful sound that just amazes from the first song all through till the last one. The
music is very well structured & has many levels. They are based in Metal & Rock, but have a
strong Power / Progressive Metal sound that is done so perfectly. The music is very tight,
crystal clear & well written. There is not a thing you could complain about these guys. The
vocals are done in a solid Power Metal style that is very melodic & high pitched at times. There
are some Traditional Metal & Thrash Metal styled vocals at times too. This could be one of the
best Heavy metal albums of the year already!!!

SAGNTID is a one man project that is the creation of Svest. He does all the instruments &
everything else here. The music has very eerie sound scape style to it & is done in a Darkwave
Black Metal style with lots of Gothic overtones. It's very creepy & dreary sounding. This was
very cool & would fit a lot of Horror movie soundtracks. The last 6 tracks are done by a two
man project consisting of Svest & Ull called VORNOFF. This project is also done in a dark
dreary somber kind of style that has lots of elements of Black Metal & Gothic music mixed
within. There is also a very strong cold vibe that encompasses the music all through out!

nothing but pure evil & madness pouring out of this release. The vocals are done in a harsh &
muffled Black Metal style as well. This is one for all old school Black Metal hordes. If you have
his other releases, you know you want to get your hands on this one as well.
