BLASPHEMER - DEVOURING DECEPTION
(5 track CD) COMATOSE MUSIC
The Italian blast monsters are back with a new EP filled with extremely insane Grindcore music.
"DEVOURING DECEPTION" is the long awaited follow up to their 2008 release "ON THE
INEXISTENCE OF GOD". These guys deliver what they are well known for, loud, fast and heavy
as shit blasting Grindcore. They do toss in many elements of Death Metal all through out as well.
The vocal style is done in a mid to high ranged Grindcore scream combine with a low ended Grind
gurgle and some mid ranged Death growls. This is by far the bands best release to date. The CD
contains a BROKEN HOPE cover, plus a video clip. If you think you can handle the intensity of
this band then pick up this and all their other releases!

CHAD FREY - BEGGING FOR MORE
(14 track CD) FREY NATION RECORDS
CHAD FREY is a musician out of Doylestown Ohio. He plays a different style of Metal music.
The music has a bit of a mechanical feel to it. I'm not sure, but I think the drums are done with a
drum machine, this maybe what helps add to the cold mechanical feel that the music has. There is a
strong Metal sound that mostly comes from the guitar work. The guitars actually have a bit of a
Thrash Metal and at times some Progressive Metal sounds. The vocals is where I felt the band was
lacking. It's not that the vocals are bad, it's just that I felt they don't go well with the rest of the
music. They don't seem to fit the style and feel more as if they are thrown on top of the killer
music. CHAD is a good musician, but I felt like he should have found a different vocalist.

"EXCESS" is the fourth album from Poland's COMA, but their first sung in English. These guys
have pulled many influences together to create a great Heavy Metal / Hard Rock album. Many of
their influences come from bands like ALICE IN CHAINS, PEARL JAM, TOOL & a little
RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE. Their music has a darker edge to it, but still has a radio
friendly Hard Rock sound. The vocals a lot like Eddie Veder of Pearl Jam, but with a thick Polish
accent. I was never a big fan of the Grunge scene, but I thought these guys would have dominated
back when Grunge was at the top of the music pile! Check them out, you'll be surprised at how
much you dig it!

The New York five piece is back with their sophomore release. These guys play real dirty and
gritty Rock N Roll music. I like the hard hitting aggressive sound that they have all through out
their songs. There is an old school Heavy Metal style mixed with some Grunge and Classic Rock.
These guys have a killer sound that could be on the radio, but still favor a lot of fans of the
underground scene. The best part is the tight groove vibe that is all through out their music. The
vocals remind me of a cross between Vince Neil in the early days of MOTLEY CRUE, with Chris
Cornell from the early days of SOUNDGARDEN. DIABLO ROYALE is a band that deserves a
lot of attention and will defiantly be big name band if they get that attention.

brutality with new school technicality. At times they do add in some elements of Thrash, which is

die hard Death Metal fans!

members of VADER, DECAPITATED, ROOTWATER, VESANIA, MASACHIST & INDUKI.
These guys and girl play some of the most powerful sounding Goth Metal I've heard in a long time.
The music has a very strong balance between light and dark. There are fast paced brutal Death and
music and the soft melodic Goth vocals of Annelyse are what really make UNSUN stand out above
a lot of other bands. This is one of the best bands out there today playing this style of music. I
highly recommend UNSUN to every Metal fan. An absolute must!
