| NECRODEMON HAS BEEN AROUND SINCE 1998. CAN YOU GIVE US A BRIEF NISTORY OF THE BAND UP TO THIS POINT? After LORDES WERRE (my old band broke up we started in 1998 & recorded our first demo in 1999. Since then we have played so many shows over the years & recorded quite a few releases. We have always strived to be original, different than the norm & most important as dark & as dangerous a band as possible. 1999 saw our first album. 2003 saw "ALLEGIANCE TO THE END". 2006 brought about "ICE FIELDS OF HYPERION". We are proud as hell of our albums & they all stand on their own two feet. We are not drones. The Necro tribe follows no one. WHO OR WHAT HAS INFLUENCED YOU IN MUSIC & LIFE IN GENERAL? Metal music has always influenced us. We tend to stay with the dark underground bands. We love the 90's Black Metal, the 80's Thrash & various Death Metal bands. We do hate Power Metal & clean vocals though. If it has keyboards, we don't want to hear it! We are also influenced by horror films & novels. Anything scary & to do with the night. Beer is a pretty big influence on us as well! Ha Ha. |

| WHY WAS THE NAME NECRODEMON CHOSEN AS THE BANDS NAME? The name NECRODEMON was just blurted out one night at practice & we loved it so much it stuck. We had been throwing around names with the word "demon" in them & that was the one that was best. It simply means the Demon Of Death. We thought it fit well with our mean ass attitudes & our style of music. It creates a ghastly tale. |
| YOU GUYS BLEND TOGETHER MANY ELEMENTS OF DEATH, THRASH, SPEED & BLACK METAL. HOW WOULD YOU BEST DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE & SOUND TO SOMEONE WHO HAS YET TO HEAR YOU? Well as I said, we are influenced by all of those so yes we do incorporate them into the music. We have nailed our style down to "Ripping Black Death". Our sound is no sound. We sound different on each song & album, but keeping the whole idea of NECRODEMON intact. We do this to keep it from getting boring & stagnant. We Thrash, we do Black, we do Death. We have kept up this combination over the years to show & prove we have allegiance to the end! We all work very hard to better ourselves on our instruments & with our writing. An evil concoction of Metal. THE NEWEST ALBUM OF YOURS I HAVE IS "ICE FIELDS OF HYPERION". HOW WELL HAS THIS ALBUM BEEN DOING FOR YOU GUYS IN THE UNDERGROUND SCENE? WHAT HAS THE RESPONSE BEEN LIKE? This was our first concept album. We are damn proud of it forever. The response has been great. In the underground we have had a lot of success with it. I am not sure that this album is for everyone as it is very dark & very cold. Some people will not understand it. But that's ok. We target our audience to the true underground Metal head bastards just like us! This album took a lot of hard work & dark soul to put out. NECRODEMON had to prove something with "...HYPERION" & we all feel we did. Meet us in the ice fields if you dare! OPEN GRAVE RECORDS RELEASED THIS CD. HOW DID YOU GET HOOKED UP WITH JAMES & OPEN GRAVE? HOW HAS IT BEEN WORKING WITH THEM? James from OPEN GRAVE found us on myspace. The conversations begun there. Working with OPEN GRAVE has been great. They have got the NECRODEMON name out there pretty well. A lot more than we could have done by ourselves. I am looking forward to the new distribution they are working on. We played a few shows out in their area & it was beer drinking Black Metal times. We also will be releasing a few more things with them. James & Megz will tell you we are all bastards, but they love us! CAN YOU DESCRIBE THE COVER ARTWORK A BIT & WHO DID IT? The cover is a scene from the cold dark place of Hyperion. The art was done by myself, our drummer Chuck & a friend of the band. We all sat in front of the computer & listened to Metal, drank Heineken & worked on it. We love the album cover. It has got a lot of compliments. it had to entail the concept of the album & we think it does. A cold scene for a cold album. |

| NECRODEMON COVERS A LOT OF STYLES & YOUR LYRICS FOLLOW THIS SAME PATH. WHAT IS SOME OF THE LYRICAL CONTENT IN YOUR SONGS? Well, with "...HYPERION" they all involve aspects of cold & winter. Our other albums cover rape, murder, death, darkness, tombs, Cthulu, termination, evil women, war & so on. The whole idea of NECRODEMON cover as much ground as possible while staying true to our dark black ways. Usually every song is it's own story. I write most of the lyrics, but not all of them, & I never want to repeat myself or copy other bands. NECORDEMON will always be it's own entity. It will stand on it's own two hooves!!! |
| HOW DO YOU FEEL YOU GUYS HAVE PROGRESSED OR IMPROVED SINCE YOUR 1999 "DEADLY DEMO" UP TO "ICE FIELDS OF HYPERION"? We have all gotten better on our instruments. We got a lot faster as well. Our writing has improved 10 fold. Our live show has improved so much. We actually are best when you see us on stage. The dark madness comes out & the energy is there. The zombies dance on parade! YOU HAVE A NEW ALBUM OUT NOW CALLED "SEVER OF THE DAMNED". CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT THIS ALBUM? Well is is not an album. It is a collection of songs that we have recorded over the years that we saved for something else. These songs will appear on different releases. I don't want to say too much here as it will all unfold soon! The night of NECRODEMON is coming! CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR OTHER RELEASES?ARE THEY STILL AVAILABLE & WHERE CAN WE FIND THEM? All of our material is available through us. Look on www.NECRODEMON.com & they are all there. "HAUNTED EONS" is our first album. It is very thrashy & very old school. It is an evil album. "ALLEGIANCE TO THE END" was our second album. This album is what truly began to define us as a band. The title says it all. It has a lot of Death Metal magic to it. YOU DID A VIDEO FOR THE SONG "FEED THE WORMS". CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT THIS VIDEO SHOOT? This was a lot of evil fun. We set it all up in a warehouse & had Leonard Wilkes from 8MM STUDIOS do this. We all just wanted a darl grundgy production that would look old & from the 80's. Our drummer chose that song because it lent itself to the footage we wanted to put out. | DO YOU GUYS PLAY OUT A LOT? WHERE ARE SOME OF THE PLACES YOU'VE PLAYED? WHO ARE SOME OF THE BANDS YOU'VE SHARED THE STAGE WITH? We have played a million shows! We have been in In, Mi, Il, Ct, Pa, Mn, Oh, & Wi. We play large cities & small ones. We have played with EXODUS, CELTIC FROST, SUMMON, CRYPTIC, MOONSPELL, FULL BLOWN CHAOS, SKULLVIEW, THE CHASM, PSYCHOMANCER, GARDY LOO & tons of other bands. We'd love to go overseas. We just want to spread the infection of NECRODEMON across the planet! |
| ARE THERE ANY INTERESTING LIVE STORIES OR OTHER BAND STORIES YOU COULD SHARE WITH US? Well, let's see. Naked women, a lot of alcohol consumption, puking, police, trouble, fights, practical jokes & all that. I know jail is no fun. Chuck & I jave been at some PSYCHOMANCER parties & woke up in some pretty fucked up situations! Ha Ha. During the "HAUNTED EONS" days, we were all seriously out of control. Jeremy, our bassist was doing some pretty heavy shit back then. There was a lot of grave & church desecration back then. If you read the lyrics to "Rape", these were my pre-meditation to something I really was going to do to one of my ex-girlfriends. Chuck is a riot to be around at shows. Crazy. NECRODEMON IS GOING TO APPEAR ON A SLAYER TRIBUTE ALBUM. WHAT SONG ARE YOU DOING & IS THERE ANY OTHER INFO YOU CAN GIVE ON THIS? We are doing "Black Magic". We chose this song because we love it & we wanted to stay true to old SLAYER. The tribute is coming out in November or December of 2007. It is put out by the Russian SLAYER fan club. http://www.myspace.com/KerryRussia THE FILM SONS OF PERDITION WILL FEATURE SOME NECRODEMON MUSIC. CAN YOU TELL US HOW YOU GOT HOOKED UP WITH THIS FILM? WHO IS DOING IT & WHAT IS THE FILM ABOUT? We hooked up with Richard Chandler because he made the video commercial for OPEN GRAVE RECORDS. The film is basically an underground movie about the devil possessing a house in Boston & all the fucked up shit that happens. It is kind of a sequel to his earlier film Our Kingdom Come. ARE YOU INTO ANY OTHER STYLES OF MUSIC BESIDES WHAT YOU PLAY? WHO HAVE YOU CURRENTLY BEEN LISTENING TO? For the most part we only listen to Death, Black & Thrash. There are a few things also listen to though. BLACK SABBATH was always a great one. Old ALICE COOPER & old KISS. Joe Striani & Steve Vai are good influences. As far as what we currently listen to: ANGELCORPSE, IMMOLATION, VADER, BLACK WITHCERY, NECROPHAGIST, GOREAPHOBIA, MORBID, old MAYHEM, not the new crap, MORBID ANGEL, IMMORTAL. Jeremy listens to pretty much all the 80's Thrash Metal. Chuck listens to a lot of Black Metal on vinyl. I myself listen to both & 90's Death Metal. I also still like KING DIAMOND & old MERCYFUL FATE. BEHEMOTH is cool too. |

| WHAT IS ONE THING YOU THINK PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPRISED TO FIND OUT ABOUT YOU? That I have six years of college under my belt. Two years in video production & four years in design & web design. For Jeremy, he has five children & still holds it all together to do NECRODEMON. For Chuck, as much bullshit he has had to deal with personally over the years that he has not murdered someone yet. WHAT CAN WE LOOK FORWARD TO NEXT FROM NECRODEMON? Our new material is really kicking ass. We've taken our music to a new black chapter. |
| WHAT WERE YOU DOING BEFORE THIS INTERVIEW? WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING NOW THAT IT'S OVER? Actually I was at work before this interview. Afterwards, I am going over to the studios to put the songs we just recorded onto the computer & begin mixing them down. Hopefully to create a dark cellar of haunting melodies.
