Ethan Hawke is a true crime writer who is struggling with his next book. He and his family are
looking to move and he finds the perfect house. They move into a very nice house and they love the
place, but what they don't know that a horrific murder took place there. He is hoping this will inspire
him for his next book. As he explores the house he discovers some films in the attic. They are home
movies of the families that lived there before him. As he views the videos more he discovers some
strange things in the videos. There are strange symbols and a strange figure that appears in each of the
videos. As he delves deeper into the stories the more and more strange things happen to his family.
They must try to figure out what is happening to them and figure out how to survive. He soon
discovers that the figure that appears in the photos and videos is the demon Bughuul. He lives in
another world and comes to this world to steal children and take them back to his world to eat them.
It's basically like the boogie man in the English language. This was a really well done Horror flick and
probably one of the best of 2012. The film doesn't have a lot of gore or anything, but it is way creepy
and scary as well. I know I was anxiously awaiting each new fright. This film is much scarier than a
lot of films out their with a big body count and more gore. This is a must see film for Horror fans who
prefer creepy scares of violent gore!
