SIX PACK OF DOOM
"ANGELS FELL"
Self Released

I was a little surprised when I popped this disc in. I was expecting something a little
heavier and more in the Death Metal style, just from the name of the band. Then again,
the more I listened to the album, I came to hear more what I think you would get from the
bands name. They are a hybrid version of Heavy Metal / Thrash Metal and Crossover.
The music comes off as an old school and aggressive Thrash Metal style with some more
gritty and harsher sounds mixed in, which was definitely taken from the old school
Thrash Metal genre. They then tend to take their sound over into the Crossover style
with elements of
SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, D.R.I., EXCEL & THE ACCUSED all
being present through out. I really dig this part of the band the best, because I grew up in
the 80's when the Crossover craze was being born. I was a Metal head first and
skateboarded with a lot of Punk kids who exposed me to the Punk scene. Now I love both
styles and scenes a lot and can appreciate how both styles created an even better style.
SIX PACK OF DOOM has also added in some Traditional Heavy Metal sounds which
mostly come out in the guitar sounds. The vocals also cross into both styles, with
melodic Metal, harsher Thrash and rawer Punk vocals all mixed together. This is a great
band that has a lot of potential and I'm excited to see what they have in store for us next.
This is one fans of bands like
MUNICIPAL WASTE, GANG GREEN, SUICIDAL
TENDENCIES, EXCEL
& THE ACCUSED need to check out!
