SPELLED MOON is a Power Metal band from Los Angeles, California that formed back
in 2007. The band plays a very untraditional style of Power Metal music. They add in
some elements of Neo Classical, Traditional Heavy Metal and Progressive Metal as well.
The guitar work is where most of the Neo Classical sounds come out. They have a very
atmospheric, fantasy & epic Metal sound. The music even has a straight up Classical vibe
to it in some of the song arrangements. I really liked the combination of the heavier and
faster parts with the slower more melodic stuff a lot. The vocals are done in an Epic Power
Metal style that reminded me a lot of stuff you would hear from a lot of the bands on
SENSORY RECORDS label. The in depth and intricate song arrangements really take
people on a deep journey within their music. If you were to combine the likes of
RHAPSODY, VIVALDI, BACH, BLIND GUARDIAN, TWISTED INTO FORM,
SPHERIC UNIVERSE EXPERIENCE, CIRCUS MAXIMUS & STRATOVARIUS
together you would get SPELLED MOON. The band features members of YNGWIE
