STRADION
"HOLY MIDNIGHT GLOOM"
NOCTURNAL PRODUCTIONS

STRADION is a Thrash Death Metal band hailing from St. Louis, Missouri. These guys
have been around since 1989 and been putting out tons of releases over the years. "HOLY
MIDNIGHT GLOOM" came out in 2001 and never released, but was recently sent to me
for review. This album was never fully finished and never officially released. The line up
parted ways shortly after this was done and that's why it was never completed. In 2011
Brent Gruno re-joined the band and they decided to let it see the light. It is only released as
a bootleg CD-R version. The music is a bit rough, but that's to be expected, since it was
never mastered, but it is still pretty decent. They play an old school style of Thrash Metal
music with some Power & Death Metal elements present through out. The guitars reminded
me a lot of old
NUCLEAR ASSAULT mixed with KREATOR. The rest of the band has a
mid ranged Thrash Metal sound that sounds like it comes from the late '80's & early '90's.
The vocals are done in two styles. One being a groggy Thrash / Death Metal Crossover
sound and the other is done in a cleaner more melodic & Thrash / Power Metal Crossover
style. These guys have been around for a long time and have been paying their dues. It's
time people actually take notice and give these guys some of the support they deserve!
