| TRANSFIX IS A PRETTY NEW BAND ON THE SCENE, BUT CAN YOU GIVE US THE HISTORY OF THE BAND SO FAR? ANY PREVIOUS BANDS YOU WERE IN? Well, we were all pretty much friends with one another at some point in time, Adam, Josh & Kevin were friends through high school. Me, Adam & Josh were playing around with some different musical ideas when Kevin joined, but we weren't 100% TRANSFIX until Joe arrived to complete the circle. Previous bands: I was in WITHSTAND, Kevin was in a band called SWERVE, Josh & Adam were in a band called STEM, and Joe was in NEVER AGAIN. WHO OR WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR INFLUENCES IN LIFE & MUSIC? I think we all try to draw influences from the heaviest yet melodic types of Death Metal out there right nowaka, your classic CANNIBAL CORPSE, DEATH, MORBID ANGEL & even into some of the newer Swedish, Polish, German, Finland based Metal. WHY WAS THE NAME TRANSFIX CHOSEN AS THE BANDS NAME? The band name was chosen because we felt it stood out & had sort of a ring to it, and because it describes our sound holding our listeners in place with our musical imaplement. |

| The cover art's meaning is pretty much about a desolate post apocalyptic world with it's victims left transfixed & unburied. This concept was conceived by a collaborative effort of the band. WHAT IS SOME OF THE LYRICAL CONTENT OF YOUR SONGS? Most of our lyrical content relates to death & all things that revolve around death, in some way shape or form. With such lyrics as "your rotting body...right next to mine" (from Your Rotting Body) & "I wait for this to die, with blood that'll never dry...I want to be there when you fucking die" (from THE ASHEN GODDESS). |

| YOU GUYS BLEND TOGETHER ELEMENTS OF GRIND, HARDCORE & DEATH METAL. HOW WOULD YOU BEST DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE & SOUND? To be real basic: Death Metal with intelligent changes mixed with melody. HAS THERE BEEN ANY LABELS SHOWING INTERESTS IN TRANSFIX? |
| Not as of yet, but we are working 24hrs a day to continue to get the name out there & eventually get signed. DO YOU HAVE ANY NEW MATERIAL IN THE WORKS? We have three new songs since the release of our demo & working on a fourth. DOES TRANSFIX PLAY OUT A LOT? WHO ARE SOME OF THE BANDS YOU'VE SHARED THE STAGE WITH? WHERE ARE SOME OF THE PLACES YOU'VE PLAYED? |

| Yes we play out often. We've played with bands like BEYOND THE EMBRACE, THE ACCURSED, BEYOND THE FLESH, DIVINITY DESTROYED, ANOXIA, INFLICTED, BLIGHTED TOUCH, MELIAH RAGE, SEEMLES, KOBALT, KREAGEN...to name a few. We've played at the New Wave Cafe, Fatso's Pub, The Living Room, KC's Tap, Club Dinero, All About Records & The Halftime. |
| HAS THERE BEEN ANY CRAZY LIVE/TOUR/ROAD STORIES YOU'D LIKE TO SHARE? Well, we haven't been "on the road" yet, but the funniest live story would probably be: one night when we were playing The New Wave Cafe, Josh got out of bed a good fifteen minutes before our 10:30 pm set & had one of the best nights we've had!!! IF YOU COULD TOUR WITH ANY BAND WHO WOULD IT BE & WHY? I would have to say SLAYER because though each person individually has different influences, I'm pretty sure SLAYER is a common thread. ARE YOU INTO ANY OTHER STYLES OF MUSIC BESIDES WHAT YOU PLAY? WHO ARE SOME OF THE BANDS YOUR CURRENTLY INTO? I am into music of almost all genres of music, ...except Country!! Lately I've been into: NECROPHAGIST, INTO ETERNITY, DESPISED ICON, ARCH ENEMY & DARK TRANQUILLITY. |

| WHAT DO THE MEMBERS OF TRANSFIX DO WHEN NOT DOING ANY WORK FOR THE BAND? JOBS? HOBBIES? ETC? We all pretty much have 9-5 type jobs. As far as hobbies, Joe studies martial arts, I & Kevin are semi-professional PS2 gamers (when there's time), Josh is an amateur pool shark & Adam does freelance carpentry & enjoys studying useless information for future reference. Oh yeah, and we all drink too!!! WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE MOVIES & OR TV SHOWS? Favorite movies: TERMINATOR 2, RESERVOIR DOGS, BOONDOCK SAINTS, THE GOONIES, SPACEBALLS, FIRST BLOOD & new favorite: LORD OF THE RINGS. Favorite TV shows: SORPRANOS, CSI, RENO 911, ROBOT CHICKEN, FAMILY GUY. |
| WHAT IS ONE THING PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPRISED TO FIND OUT ABOUT YOU? I'm hung like a horse. WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR VIEWS ON THE WAR THE U.S. IS FIGHTING & SOME OF THE DECISIONS GEORGE BUSH HAS MADE FOR THIS COUNTRY? The only thing I have to say is that George Bush sucks ass & maybe if he spent half the money that he already has on this country rather than on the war of leveling & rebuilding another country, this country might be in better shape!!! |

| WHAT WERE YOU DOING BEFORE THIS INTERVIEW & WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING AFTER? Pretty much just turned the computer on & will probably be staring at it after the interview. WHAT CAN WE EXPECT TO SEE NEXT FROM TRANSFIX? You can expect more kick ass thrashy grinding Death Metal with a twist of melody, and hopefully a new CD with all of our new material included!
