A group of petty crooks are hired by someone to break into a house and steal a
VHS tape. Sounds
simple enough, right? Once they arrive at the house they find a room with a bunch of TVs surrounded
by a ton of
VHS tapes, plus a dead guy sitting in a chair in front of the TV sets. They don't know what
to do or which tape to take. Instead of just taking them all, they decide to watch the tapes and see what
is on them. They weren't expecting what they found. Each tape has a different story, which is more
disturbing than the previous. The tapes are shot with a hand held camera and start off like simple,
normal home videos. What do the tapes have in common is the creepy and disturbing way they all end.
At first the film seemed a bit annoying, but as they went on they got better and better and the way the
film ended was really creepy. It had a sort of ending like
THE BLAIR WITCH movie, where you can
interpret the ending anyway you want, which is good or bad, depending on who you talk to. I didn't
really dig the film at the beginning, but ended up loving it by the end. I can't wait to check out the
second film, which is coming out soon. A really cool and some what different concept for a Horror
