30 DAYS OF NIGHT (R) GHOST HOUSE PICTURES (2007)
Starring: Josh Hartnett, Melissa George, Danny Huston, Ben Foster, Megan Franich & more.
This film is based on a graphic novel comic book about a small town in Alaska. The town is a normal little
town until some unwanted visitors invade. These visitors are some wandering vampires who go from town to
town & suck the town dry. These vampires are very ruthless, brutal & violent as hell. They don't eat just
because they need to, they do it because they want to. There was a lot of action & horror all through out the
film. The vampires here are very blood thirsty & very very vicious. This is not the typical wimpy &
romantic vampires we have seen of lately! If you can handle the blood, then you maybe able to handle this
film. It's highly recommended!

CAPTIVITY (R) AFTER DARK FILMS (2007)
Starring: Elisha Cuthbert, Daniel Gillies, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Michael Harney, Laz Alonso & more.
Elishae Cutbert is a famous up & coming model, who is starting to have her image plastered all over the
place. She is hanging out a night club & when she leaves she is kidnapped. She wakes up in a small cell &
has no idea where she is. She soon realizes that she is not alone & that there is another victim in the cell next
to her. Her capture keeps giving her notes through the wall making her do stuff. The two of them find a way
to escape, sort of. There is a big twist at the end of the movie. It's a little like the SAW film series, but with
a different kind of vibe! If you like the new wave of torture, gore, horror type films with a bit of suspense &
mystery then watch this film!

FIDO (R) LIONS GATE FILMS (2006)
Starring: Carrie Ann Moss, Billy Connolly, Dylan Baker, K'sun Ray, Time Blake Nelson & more.
Taken place in the 1950's things are bit different this time around. People no longer have pets or servants,
they have Zombies. The scientists have created a collar for them to wear to keep them under control & civil.
They use them to do everyday house hold chores & stuff. One kid becomes friends with their families
Zombie. He does everything with him that kids would do together, until the Zombie breaks free of his collar
& kills a neighbor. If you combined NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD & SHAUN OF THE DEAD
together you'd get this very cool film!

FRIDAY THE 13TH (R) PARAMOUNT PICTURES (1980)
Starring: Betsy Palmer, Adrienne King, Harry Crosby, Laurie Bartram, Kevin Bacon & more.
Everyone by now should have seen this film already, if not, shame on you. This is a classic that helped start
the whole slasher genre. A bunch of teenagers are going to camp Crystal Lake aka Camp Blood to help get
the camp ready for the new summer visitors. What they don't know is that someone is taking revenge on
anyone who comes into the camp & killing them all. They kill them in many different gruesome & horrible
ways. This is the best film in the whole series if you ask me. If you never seen this film, do yourself a favor
& watch it. This is a classic that every fan of horror has to see! Thank God It's Friday!!!
HALLOWEEN 2007 (R) DIMENSION FILMS (2007)
Starring: Malcolm McDowell, Brad Douriff, Tyler Mane, Deeg Faerch, Sheri Moon Zombie & more.
This was one of the most anticipated remakes I was looking forward to this year, but was a little let down. I
actually liked how Rob Zombie spent a lot of time with the young Michael Myers & showed how it built up
to the insane killer we all know & love. The story pretty much follows the original, but there were some
added things tossed in. I felt a little like some of the story didn't flow too well either, but all in all it was a
decent horror flick. I think I like the original a bit better though. I'm a sucker for the classics & have not been
a big fan of too many of the remakes that have been flooding the movie market lately!
I AM LEGEND (PG-13) WARNER BROS. (2007)
Starring: Will Smith, Alice Braga, Charlie Tahan, Salli Richardson, Willow Smith & more.
Here is another remake I wasn't too sure about, because it could have gone either way. I figured it would be
good, just about everything Will Smith is in has been. There is a virus that has swept the whole country &
Will Smith's character is immune to it. He goes out during the day hunting for food & any other survivors he
can. He is also a military scientists trying to find a cure. The virus turns people into vicious & violent
creatures with immense strength. As food gets less 7 less they have turned to eating people & each other.
There was not much horror or gore, but a lot of mystery, suspense & action. This is worth checking out if
your into the action horror genre.

RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION (R) SONY PICTURES (2007)
Starring: Milla Jovovich, Oded Fehr, Ali Larter, Iain Glen, Ashanti & more.
This is the 3rd part of the RESIDENT EVIL film series. This one takes the series in a different direction.
This time the zombie virus has spread past Racoon City & has infected most of the world. There is a bunch
of cloning of Alice (Mila's character) to help fight the zombies & also to fight Alice. She wanders the country
looking for survivors & killing many zombies along the way. She finds a convoy of survivors & hooks up
with them. They end up in Las Vegas for a final showdown with a horde of zombie warriors. This film was
more of an action film with Zombies, then a Zombie film with some action. If you dig the others then you'll
most likely dig this one too.

RISE: BLOOD HUNTER (R) MANDATE PICTURES (2007)
Starring: Lucy Liu, Robert Forster, Cameron Richardson, Allan Rich, Samantha Shelton & more.
Lucy Liu is an assassin who gets caught up in a whole under world of Vampires who survive on innocent
victims & turn them into vampires too. She gets kidnapped by their leader who has his way with her &
transforms her into a vampires. She teams with a police officer, who's daughter was taken by them. She tries
to rescue his daughter, but it's too late. She has been turned so now they will bot try to take down the whole
vampire group. The story was a little slow moving in spots, but the bloody & gory parts make up for it!
Not the best Vampire film out there, but there are plenty of more that are worst!

SAW IV (R) LIONS GATE FILMS (2007)
Starring: Tobin Bell, Betsy Russell, Lyriq Bent, Donnie Wahlberg, Costas Mandylor & more.
It looked like we "saw" the last of these films with the 3rd installment, but I guess not. This film is sort of a
prequel to the other films as it tells the story of Jigsaw from the beginning & how it led him to become the
mastermind killer that he is. The film also revolves around some of the police officers who were all trying to
catch him & their involvement with the cases. The film has lots of twists, gore, torture & more answers &
confusion that we have all come to know & love from these films. It definitely follows the same structure of
the other films while taking it in a whole other direction. If you enjoyed the other 3 films, then you will
definitely enjoy this fourth installment. Oh yes, there will be blood!!!!

WICKED LITTLE THINGS (R) AFTER DARK FILMS (2006)
Starring: Lori Heuring, Scout Taylor Compton, Chloe Moretz, Geoffrey Lewis, Ben Cross & more.
A mother & her two daughters inherit a small house out in the middle of no where in Pennsylvania. The
property was owned by her great grandparents who were minors. They used to use little children to go into
the mine shafts & do the work. There was a collapse of one of the tunnels & a bunch of children were buried
alive. These children have now come back from the dead to rid the world of the family blood line. The film
reminded me a little bit like CHILDREN OF THE DAMNED, but not as good. The children start killing
the family & anyone else they can from the town. There is a decent story here, with a lot of suspense.
There is little gore, but some very cool death scenes. Support independent horror films & especially this
one!!!
