| SATAN'S CANDY BASKET - ISSUE #1 This was the very 1st issue of the magazine under it's original name of SATAN'S CANDY BASKET. This was my first attempt at doing a publication. I was very pleased with the turn out of the magazine & this was a good starting place for me & the magazine. This issue was done all on a type writer & was very simply done. This issue was done full sized all in black & white, printed professionally on 48 pages of newsprint paper. This issue included interviews with GODFLESH, REGURGITATION, FINAL PRAYER, ORCUS, ANGELKILL & REPUDILATION, plus over 150 reviews of music, movies, zines, live shows & also artwork & poems. I also did the cover artwork. This actually turned out to be a big seller & sold out very quickly. I had a lot of demand for the second issue soon after the release of this first issue & a lot of good feedback as well. |
| SATAN'S CANDY BASKET - ISSUE #2 Here we have the second issue of SATAN'S CANDY BASKET magazine. This issue had some improvements done to it, especially the layout of the magazine. I got a word processor as a gift for Christmas shortly after the release of the 1st issue. This really helped with the layout of the magazine & made it a little more professional looking. This issue was done full sized all in black & white, printed professionally on 48 pages of newsprint paper. This issue included interviews with COAL CHAMBER, DEADEN, GWAR, INTERNAL BLEEDING, MISERY LOVES CO., MISFITS, MORBID ANGEL, POWERMAN 5000, REEFER HUT, SCATTERED REMNANTS & SNOT, plus over 300 reviews of music, movies, zines & live shows & also poems, artwork, contests & a readers poll. I did the cover artwork on this issue as well. This issue was a definite step forward over the 1st issue with just a simple improvement to the layout. |
| SATAN'S CANDY BASKET - ISSUE #3 Once again I made some improvements with this, my 3rd issue. This issue finally had some photos added to accompany the text & there was a glossy black & white wrap around cover added. This issue was done full sized all in black & white, printed all professionally on 48 pages of newsprint paper with a glossy black & white cover. Interviews in this issue included CANNIBAL CORPSE, FEAR FACTORY, CARDIOVASCULAR SUB-HYPOTHERMIA, FURY OF FIVE, FLESHGRIND, FLESHTIZED, GENITORTURERS, IMMOLATION, INHUMATE, INSATANITY, JUNGLE ROT, LIVIDITY, SEVERANCE, PULKAS & actor BRUCE CAMPBELL (Evil Dead, Army Of Darkness), plus over 300 reviews of music, movies, zines, live shows & lots more. This issue was a nice step forward for me & really started making me feel like a real publication. I was very proud of this issue & still am today. |
| SATAN'S CANDY BASKET - ISSUE #4 This was the end of something good, but the beginning of something even better. This was the last issue under the name of SATAN'S CANDY BASKET. Too many problems with the word "Satan" in the title made me want to change the title & not deal with these problems. This issue was done full sized all in b&w, professionally printed on 48 pages of newsprint paper with a black & white glossy cover. Interviews inside included: ARGHOSLENT, BESEECH, NILE, CRYPTOPSY, DISARRAY, DISEPTIKONS, EXHUMED, FALL OF THE LEAFE, GREAT KAT, HATESPAWN ZINE, HELL ON EARTH, SLUDGE!, KRABATHOR, MALEVOLENT CREATION, NASUM, OBLITERATION, SEPULTURA, SOILENT GREEN, SPINE SHANK & WASTELAND, plus over 300 reviews of music, movies, zines, live shows & lots more! This was a good issue to end with & I went all out on this one. I love this issue the best!!! |
| TREATS FROM THE UNDERGROUND! - ISSUE #5 This is another issue I am very proud of, cause I also went all out on this one as it was the beginning of something new, but is still in the spirit of S.C.B. This was a good issue to introduce the new direction & name of the magazine. This issue was done full sized all in black & white, professionally printed on 48 pages of newsprint paper with a glossy black & white cover. Treats in this issue include interviews with AMEN, ANTIQUA, BIOHAZARD, MESHUGGAH, SKINLAB, BRUTALIZED ZINE, CORE, DESCEND, GWAR, HYPOCRISY, PRO-PAIN, OVERDOSE, POETS OF THE PLAGUE, SEVEN DAY DROP, SKINLESS, SLIPKNOT, S.O.D., SOILS OF FATE, SOLEFALD, THE CROWN & a very special interview with LLOYD KAUFMAN (the president of TROMA FILMS & creator of THE TOXIC AVENGER), plus over 500 reviews of music, movies, zines, live shows & lots more!!! |
