BLOOD GNOME (R) FIRST LOOK ENTERTAINMENT (2004) Starring: Vinnie Bilancio, Melissa Pursley, Ri Walton, Julie Strain, Scott Eangelista & more. A crime scene investigator is trying to make sense of a string of sex murders that has been plaguing the city. After much investigation of the crime scenes he finds out that this isn't the work of humans, but creatures called BLOOD GNOMES. They need to find a way to stop them & wipe them out. They head out to an The story was pretty weak & the special effects were even worst. The one good part was getting to see hottie Julie Strain naked again. This maybe OK for one viewing, but I wouldn't waste my time with another viewing.
BLOODRAYNE 2: DELIVERANCE (UR) VISUAL ENTERTAINMENT (2007) Starring: Natassia Malthe, Zack Ward, Michael Pare, Chris Coppola, Chris Spencer & more. As if the first BLOODRAYNE movie wasn't bad enough, we get a second installment in this film franchise of cowboy buddies, who are all vampires & are sucking the town of Deliverance dry. The half human, half vampire Rayne enters the town & tries to wipe them all out to save the towns people. There is a newspaper reporter kept alive to document Billy's actions. This wasn't as bad as it sounds, but it still wasn't a great flick. I did dig the new take on the Billy The Kid legends & Natassia Malthe looks hot in her skin tight leather outfit!
DARK FLOORS (R) GHOST HOUSE UNDERGROUND (2008) Starring: Lordi, Skye Bennett, Noah Huntley, Dominique McElligott, Ronald Pickua & more. The Finnish Heavy Metal band LORDI portray their on stage monster aliases in this film. A father & his autistic daughter try to escape from a hospital after it has become an eerie portal for deadly creatures. Each floor has it's own dangers & is a portal for each of the different creatures. They soon realize that the survival of the few remaining people will rest on the shoulder of the young autistic girl. The story was well written & had great special effects for a low budget Horror film, especially one from Finland. LORDI's on stage monsters were perfect demons for this film as well. This is well worth watching, even if your not a fan of LORDI. www.DARKFLOORSmovie.com
FLESH EATER (R) SHRIEK SHOW (1988) Starring: William Hinzman, John Mowod, Leslie Ann Wick, Kevin Kindlin & more. A group of young teens out for some Halloween fun decide to take a hunted hayride through the woods. They then decide to camp out in the woods & have some drinking & sexual fun. Their night turns into a night of never ending terror when they are attacked by crazed zombies out for some flesh. Most of them fall victim to the zombies & become zombies themselves. The authorities hunt down the zombies, but they are not sure if they get them all & there is no real conclusive ending. This was way low budget with lots of bad acting, story & special effects, if you can call them that. This is one were you can't wait to see all the people get killed, because they are very annoying. Not one of the better low budget Zombie Horror flicks out there!
GRIZZLY PARK (R) AMERICAN WORLD PICTURES (2008) Starring: Glenn Morshower, Randy Wayne, Zulay Henao, Emily Foxler, Julie Skon & more. A group of law breaking teens are assigned to community service for a week in Grizzly Park. They are The park ranger is also keeping a watchful eye on the kids. As they find out the park has many dangers, one being that they are stalked by a killer lurking in the shadows. The kids get killed off one by one as they find out there is also another killer on the loose. This was a pretty decent movie done in a kind of 80's Horror style, where most of the kids are annoying & you can't wait to see them die. A cool monster, creature type Horror film! www.GRIZZLYPARK.com
HOLLYWOOD STRANGLER MEETS THE SKID ROW SLASHER (R) Starring: Pierre Agostino, Carolyn Brandit, Jim Parker, John Leeman, Denise Alford & more. Two serial killers are wreaking havoc in Hollywood & killing off many of it's citizens. A photographer takes on assignments to photograph beautiful women, but has a hidden agenda. He gets turned on by them & then strangles them all. At the same time a delusional walks the streets of the city & slashes the throats of the homeless. Both killers become interested in the other & seek each other out. They finally meet in the end with a deadly face off between them both. This was a very slow moving flick, but was a little violent at times especially for the time it was made. Not the best slasher flick, but a decent one any way!
JACK BROOKS: MONSTER SLAYER (R) ANCHOR BAY (2007) Starring: Robert Englund, Trevor Matthews, Daniel Kasm, David Fox, Dean Hawes & more. After witnessing his family violently murder when he was young & on a camping trip, Jack Brooks develops an uncontrollable anger problem. The night classes his girlfriend suggests to cure his issues end up making them worse, especially after his professor undergoes some strange changes. As his professor is transformed into a hideous monster & turns the rest of the class into monsters to, Jack is forced to become a monster slayer. Jack must now face his demons as well as others to survive. This was kind of a campy horror flick that mixed a lot of humor in with the gore & violence. This is a killer flick, especially cause Robert Englund is in it! www.brookstreetpictures.com/JACKBROOKS
KINKY KILLERS (R) VIVENDI ENTERTAINMENT (2007) Starring: Michael Pare, Charles Durning, Beverly Lynne, Brooke Lewis, Julianne Michelle & more. A serial killer is on the loose, but he is only targeting patients of a psychiatrist & clients for a certain lawyer. The police are very confused by the twisted murders because the killer is tattooing the victims bodies post mortem. The bodies start piling up as detectives look into all the potential suspects. As he gets closer to solving the crimes, more & more suspects are being murdered. This was kind of a slow paced thriller that had horror potential, but didn't quite make it. It was an OK film to watch, especially for all the hot chicks, but besides that it was pretty boring! Many better serial killer flicks out there! www.myspace.com/polycarpmovie
TIMBER FALLS (R) SLOWHAND CINEMA RELEASING (2007) Starring: Josh Randall, Brianna Brown, Nick Searcy, Beth Broderick, Sascha Rosemann & more. A young couple go hiking in the woods of West Virgina for a nice weekend getaway. Their weekend quickly turns into a nightmare. They decide to follow a less traveled trail which brings them face to face with a homicidal backwoods family that has a very crazy religious agenda. They are also being tortured & hunted down by some whacked out locals. When his girlfriend goes missing he heads to the backwoods families home. There they are kept prisoner & put through some bizarre religious rituals. This is one of those cool low budget films that seems to fall through the cracks. It's got a great suspenseful & creepy story! Peep it! www.TIMBERFALLSmovie.com
TRAILER PARK OF TERROR (R) SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT (2008) Starring: Nichole Hiltz, Trace Adkins, Priscilla Barnes, Stefanie Black, Jeanette Brox & more. Six troubled teens & their youth minister are on a road trip when their bus crashes. They become stranded in a remote area known as Trucker's Triangle. They head out to a small trailer park where they come face to face with a murderous redneck named Norma. Everyone else in the trailer park is soon discovered to be dead & Norma is the one who has killed them. As they camp out in the trailer park, she is picking them off in all kinds of different bloody ways. This movie is actually based off a comic book of the same name. I was expecting this to be a bad flick, but it was very entertaining & had a killer story & was well written. Check this one out! www.TRAILERPARKOFTERROR.com
