BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE (R) SONY PICTURES (2009)
Starring: Gianna Jun, Allison Miller, Liam Cunningham, JJ Field, Koyuki and more.
This live action Japanese film is based on the hit animated film and TV show. During post World War 2 the
Japanese military send a teenage half vampire girl to an American Military base. Wielding a katana sword she is
sent out on an assignment to kill a demon masquerading as a student. After many bloody violent sword battles
she is confronted with the vampire demon Onigen. They do battle to wipe each other out. This was a killer flick
with lots of Traditional Japanese scenes mixed with violent gore filled action scenes. I've never seen the
animated film or TV show, but this live action film is a must see. Check it out!

A young beautiful girl wakes up in a coffin and has no idea who she is and how she got to where she is. She
eventually escapes the coffin and is soon chased by a knife wielding maniac who's out for a little fun. She keeps
escaping him after a little torture. The killer keeps killing people along the way. She comes in contact with some
village locals, but doesn't know if she can trust them. This was a low budget Horror flick that is slow in some
spots, but has a ton of killer death scenes.

MONSTERS VS. ALIENS (PG) DREAMWORKS (2009)
Starring: Reese Witherspoon, Seth Rogan, Hugh Laurie, Will Arnett, Kiefer Sutherland and more.
This is an animated kids film, but pays homage to so many old Science Fiction and Horror films that I had to
include. Susan Murphy is about to get married, when she is outside the church she is struck with by a meteor.
She soon starts to glow and quickly grows into the 50ft tale woman. The government captures her and brings
her to their secret facilaty. There she is introduced to other Monsters like Blob, Creature from The Black
Lagoon, a scientist bug and more. They all band together to help save the world when an alien invasion happens.
This wasn't scary at all, but all done on the comedic side. A fun watch for the whole family.

RED MIST (R) ANCHOR BAY (2008)
Starring: Arielle Kebbel, Sarah Carter, Stephen Dillane, Andrew Lee Potts and more.
A young doctor who is into experimental drugs and testing wants to use some new tests on a coma patient.
Once the experiment is underway it ends up having some unexpected consequences. The man is bed ridden and
still in the coma, but his spirit has found a way to travel. The crazed patient can now inhabit innocent
bystanders, which he does. He uses these bystanders to seek out his revenge on the people who put him in a
coma. The story was a little slow in spots, not the greatest film I've ever seen, but definately not the worst.
Starring: Amy Smart, Dennis Chan, Tim Chiou and more.
This is the third film from Eduardo Sanchez (the co-creator of THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT). A
Newlywed couple are spending their honeymoon in China. While there they enjoy the on going Hungry Ghost
Festival. While there they are giving some extra information to enjoy some other stuff. Their guides take them
out to the middle of nowhere. They soon start hearing lots of weird freaky noises. Then these creatures start
escaping the woods and attacking the couple. They flee to a small village, but no one will help them. They must
protect each other and survive the night. This was a really creepy and spooky film, that had much suspense.
Very much worth checking in out!

TRICK R TREAT (R) WARNER BROS. (2008)
Starring: Anna Paquin, Brian Cox, Leslie Bibb, Lauren Lee Smith, Dylan Baker and more.
This film follows Sam who weaves tales of Halloween traditions gone horribly wrong. The film is done in the
form of the CREEPSHOW movies. It's a bunch of different stories taken place on Halloween. There is a loner
who is trying to fend off some demented trick or treaters. A principle of an elementary school who is actually a
serial killer at night. Some kids uncover a freaky secret of a school bus of kids who died in a bus accident. Plus
a group of girls who go out trick or treating dressed as fairy princesses and are not as innocent as they look.
This is one of the best Horror flicks I've seen in years. It took years for this film to be released, but it was
worth the wait. This is a must see for any Horror fan.

TRUE BLOOD: SEASON 2 (TV-MA) HBO (2009)

In this second season of the HBO hit TV show TRUE BLOOD has kicked things into high gear. Sookie, who is
a telepath tries to solve some recent murders and straighten things out with her Vampire boyfriend Bill. Bill is
trying to deal with Jessica, his new house guest, which he turn into a Vampire. This season also brought in new
characters like Terry, the Iraq War veteran and the crazy mysterious Maryann, who brings in lots more trouble
for everyone. This season was a bit better than the first season, with more action, violence, comedy and sex!
WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE (R) DIMENSION EXTREME (2007)
Starring: Kevin Epps, Sandy Gardiner, Callard Harris, Veronica Sywak, Nick Richey and more.
This film is based on true events about two couples who travel to New Guinea. They trek through the jungles
in search of Michael Rockerfeller who is the heir to the Rockerfeller fortune and disappeared in 1961. Once
they are there and deep within the jungles everything turns for the worst. They encounter a fierce tribe of
Cannibals. They try to survive long enough to get out of the jungle, but not everyone will make it. This was a
pretty decent low budget flick, not the best Cannibal film, but not one of the worst either.
Starring: Tom Federic, Janet Montgomery, Gil Kolirin, Christian Contreras, Jake Curran and more.
WRONG TURN 3 is a whole new story from the other 2 films. In this film a group of friends head out for a fun
weekend in the woods. They encounter Three Fingers, the only inbred family member to survive from the
original film. He is out for revenge on any one for his family being killed off. Only one girls survives the attacks
and tries to escape. During her escape she encounters some prisoners who are escaping a bus crash they were
on. They run off into the woods when they see Three Finger kill the of the police officers. They are each hunted
down and killed in different gory ways. This fill wasn't as good as the first two films, but did have some killer
death scenes. Worth watching just for those.
