SKELETON KEY (PG-13) UNIVERSAL PICTURES (2005) Starring: Kate Hudson, Gena Rowlands, John Hurt, Peter Sarsgaard, Joy Bryant & more. Kate Hudson is a Hospice Care worker who goes to a plantation home in Louisiana to take care of an old man. She starts to see strange things & get suspicious as she is taking care of this old man. She starts to explore the house & finds a secret room. She starts searching the room & finds some things that explains some of the history of the house. As she delves further & further into the houses history she becomes more & more paranoid about the mans wife. The story started out a little slow, but then picked up about half way through. This film was more of a suspense thriller & not a horror movie as it was portrayed. Cool for one viewing, but not a film that would get multiple viewings from me!!! www.THESKELETONKEYmovie.com

They go skiing, snowboarding, party, drink, have sex & lots more. When they go into town for more beer, they find out that the ski resort was closed when some snowboarders killed a little kill on the mountain & ran her off a cliff. One by one their friends are being picked off by a mysterious skier dressed in black. The story was girls were all hot. Your taking your chances on watching this pretty cheesy horror film!!! |

THE CHOKE (R) VELOCITY HOME ENTERTAINMENT (2005) Starring: Brooke Bailey, Sean Cook, Tom Olson, Wonder Russell, Bee Simonds & more. This film is about a popular local band that plays gigs & raves & has a strong following. When they playing a gig & the club runs out of beer the majority of the people leave. The ones who stay get locked in the club & need to find a way out. They discover the body of one of the groupies ripped to shreds. They start panicking because there is a killer inside with them. One by one they get picked off & the band it's self kids killed, each by their own equipment. The killer is revealed in the end & is no really big surprise. This film was really terrible & extremely bad, from the acting, lighting, filming, dialogue & story itself. The people who had anything to do with this should be CHOKED! You've been warned, don't waste your time! www.THECHOKE.com

UNDEAD (R) LIONS GATE FILMS (2003) Starring: Felicity Mason, Mungo McKay, Rob Jenkins, Lisa Cunningham, Dirk Hunter & more. This is an Australian horror film that throws in a little comedy, action & sci fi. When a small Australian town is hit with a meteor shower strange things start to happen. The towns folks are turned into flesh eating zombies. They start attacking every human they can get to. A small group of people take refuge in a farm house to fend the zombies off. The owner of the farm house is the town "crazy" who was abducted by aliens. He is the one who stays calm & destroys all these zombies, while everyone else is panicking. There is a twist at the end that ties everything back to the alien abduction of the town "crazy". This was a decent film that had a lot of good gore & comedy parts all through out. This is well worth the viewing! www.UNDEADmovie.com

VIDEODROME (R) UNIVERSAL PICTURES (1983) Starring: James Woods, Sonja Smitts, Deborah Harry, Peter Dvorsky, Leslie Carlson & more. Woods plays a small time TV producer who is trying to get the next big show on the air. He pirates tons of videos from around the world & plays them on his show. When he gets a hold of a new tape his life changes majorly. The video has some weird mind control over the viewer & makes them hallucinate. They see & do strange things that the makers of the video command them to do. He winds up in a world of bizarre sex & violence & has no idea how to get out of it. The movie is pretty low budget for the time, but some of the special effects were pretty cool though. This is a weird film along the lines of ALTERED STATES & NAKED LUNCH. If you like those films then you'll dig this one!!!

WOLF CREEK (R) THE WEINSTEIN COMPANY (2005) Starring: John Jarratt, Cassandra Magrath, Kestie Morassi, Phil Stevenson, Nathan Phillips & more. This is an Australian horror film that is based on true events. Three friends decide to take a camping trip through the outback when they encounter car trouble. They have no choice but to wait for someone to come along. They feel they are saved, when a tow truck driver arrives in the middle of the night to help them. He says he can fix their car for them, but back at his station. He gives them a tow & then the torture begins. They find themselves trapped in different psychotic & gruesome situations of torture brought on by this lunatic. The girls fight back & try to survive, but they eventually meet their fate at the hands of this maniac. This film was pretty decent & was a combination of WRONG TURN, HOSTEL & TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. The fact that it's based on true events makes it all more freaky, especially with the information they give at the end!!! www.WOLFCREEKmovie.com

X-MEN 3: THE LAST STAND (PG-13) 20TH CENTURY FOX (2006) Starring: Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Ian McKellen, Famke Janssen, Kelsey Grammer & more. I wasn't sure how this 3rd installment was going to turn out, with a new director & some new production crew from the last two films, but it was amazing. This film stands up proudly next to the first two films. In this one the government develops a mutant cure serum & wants to let mutants volunteer to be cure of their mutant gene. Well, this splits mutants apart, some are for it & some are against it. When the Brotherhood Of Mutants is formed they must fight the humans as well as some of the other mutants. The government kicks this battle into high form when they make bullets out of the serum & start attacking all mutants with this new weapon. This a lot more new story going on as well. They introduced some new mutants such as Beast, Kitty Pride, Phoenix & Angel & gave more screen time to Storm, Iceman, Colossus & Pyro. I really liked this film a lot & think this is probably the best Comic to film series yet. If your a fan of the comic book or just the other two films you will really enjoy this one. They left it end for another film possibly, even though this is supposed to be the last one of the series. There is a Wolverine solo movie coming out though!!! www.X3movie.com

VAMPYROS LESBOS (R) IMAGE ENTERTAINMENT (1971) Starring: Ewa Stromberg, Soledad Miranda, Andres Monales, Dennis Price, paul Muller & more. This is a cult classic film from the early 70's I've never seen it until now. A young woman goes to a night club in a foreign country & watches the erotic lesbian show on stage. She has an attraction to the one woman who she has seen before in her dreams. She later gets a job doing a report in some secluded resort. once she arrives comes to find out the hard way she is a vampire. They get intangled in an erotic life together until things go bad. I could see how this could be considered a cult classic, because it was pretty on edge for 1971, but for todays standards it's kind of tame. Check it out just to see what the hype was for the film!

VAMPS 2: BLOOD SISTERS (R) Bt PRODUCTIONS (2002) Starring: Paul Morris, Glori-Anne Gilbert, Amber Newman, Sydney Shannon, Zoe Ciel & more. This film follows a young female that finds out she is linked to the head female vampire. She sets out to a strip club that she knows vampires hang out at & starts her mission. She wants to kill the head vampire so she can revert back to a human. Along the way she encounters many battles with other female stripper vampires. The acting was quite poor as well as the story line. There were no real special effects or anything either. the only reason to watch this film would be to see a few naked women here & there. There was a bonus of the original film on the disc as well. If you can call it a bonus. The original was better, but the 2nd one had nicer looking women. www.bplusproductions.com

UNBORN BUT FORGOTTEN (R) TARTAN VIDEO (2002) Starring: Jun-Ho Jeong, Eun-Ju Lee, Jlyu Kim, Seong-Yong Kye, Kan-Hig Lee & more. This was kind of a bizarre film. It's a Japanese or Korean horror film about a website about an institute for women. When you view this website you become pregnant. There are women all over viewing this site 7 getting pregnant, but there is someone out there after them. This someone is killing all the women & ripping out their fetuses. The film was slow at times & quite strange. I don't know if there is something being lost through the translation or what, but there seemed to be some holes in the plot that left things unexplained. It's strange enough for a viewing, but it makes for a confusing viewing? Give it a try & maybe you can pull something more out of it!
