ANATOMY (R) SONY PICTURES ENTERTAINMENT (2000)
Starring: Franke Potente, Benno Furmann, Anna Loos, Sebastian Blomberg, Holger Speckhahn & more.
A young medical student wins a place at a prestigious & exclusive medical school. Once she is there she
starts to uncover a secret society of surgeons who will do anything to get their hands on any interesting
specimen they can. As she gets deeper & deeper involved she may be the next to get killed & end up on the
table next. This was a pretty decent foreign film & one of Franke Potente (BOURNE IDENTITY) first
starring roles. It's a bit creepy & a little off at times, which is what I liked about it.
AUTOMATON TRANSFUSION (R) DIMENSION EXTREME (2006)
Starring: Garrett Jones, Juliet Reeves, William Howard Bowman, Rowan Bousaid, Ashley Elizabeth Pierce.
This is an indie Horror flick about science going wrong. A U.S. Army experiment fails when the military
turns corpses into fighting forces. Of course they get out of control & wreak hell on a small Florida
community. As the undead attack & munch on the living three high school student try to survive. Once they
have had enough they decide to end the carnage before it spreads even more. This was kind of slow in the
beginning & the cast was a little annoying, but once the violence & gore kicks in the movie kicks into high
gear. Tons of blood & zombies galore!
FRIDAY THE 13TH (2009) (R) WARNER BROS. PICTURES (2009)
Starring: Derek Mears, Jared Padalecki, Danielle Panabaker, Amanda Righetti, Travis Van Winkle & more.
This is a remake, but not of the 1st film, but it takes many elements from the first 4 movies of the original
franchise from the early 80's. A group of teenagers head out into the woods to crash at one of the kids
mountain home. This home happens to be close to the infamous Camp Crystal Lake. Jason Voorhees
emerges to kill off anyone & everyone who invades his home turf. This was a decent remake, but it was a
little too much of the annoying kids, too much sex & too much drugs. The whole time you just can't wait for
everyone to die. It was way better than some of the sequels, but nothing beats the original film!

INCUBUS (R) SONY PICTURES (2006)
Starring Tar Reid, Akemnji Ndifernyan, Alice O'connel, Russell Carter, Christian Brassington & more.
I should have know before even watching that this wasn't going to be a great Horror flick when Tara Reid is
the lead role. This is a tense Horror flick that has a bit of a super natural twist to it. A group of college
students are diverted from their road trip when they have a car accident. They decide to head out on foot &
come across an abandoned laboratory in the middle of know where. They break in & hope to find some help.
Instead they find many dead bodies. In the middle of this is an experiment on some entity that posses people
& forces them to violent kill others. The friends all get destroyed in vicious ways. The film was OK, but it
was a bit hard watching Tara Reid over act through out the whole thing.
JOY RIDE 2: DEAD AHEAD (R) 20TH CENTURY FOX (2008)
Starring: Nicki Aycox, Nick Zano, Kyle Schmid, Laura Jordan, Mark Gibbon & more.
Four friends head out on a road trip to Las Vegas to see a concert. When their car sputters to a dead stop,
they head out on foot to find help. They come across an old farm house but no one is home. They break in to
use a phone, but no such luck. The discover a very cool muscle car in the garage & decide to "borrow" it.
They don't realize that the one they stole from is the vengeful trucker who is psychotic named Rusty Nail..
He proceeds to track them down & harass & torture them. This wasn't as good as the original, but it was just
as disturbing & creepy as the first. If you dig the first then you'll like this one as well.

MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN (R) LIONSGATE (2008)
Starring: Bradley Cooper, Leslie Bibb, Brooke Shields, Vinnie Jones, Roger Bart & more.
A New York photographer catches a horrific act as it unfolds. He rides the subway & sees a young woman
being murdered. As he tries to find out who the killer is he eventually discovers him. He pursues him &
follows him through his routines all while photographing everything. As more & more people get killed off
he finds himself being tracked by the killer himself. He becomes one of the victims & then discovers what is
going on. This comes to us from the sick mind of Clive Barker who spins an intense tale of gore, suspense &
violence! This was an excellent flick that keeps you wanting more & more!

THE COTTAGE (R) SONY PICTURES (2008)
Starring: Andy Serkis, Reece Shearsmith, Jennifer Ellison, Steven O'donnel, James Bierman & more.
Two brothers abduct a young woman & hold her hostage in a rural cottage. The brothers keep feuding with
each other & screw things up. The woman turns the tables on them & eventually escapes. She runs off to the
closest farms house where things get really bizarre. The deranged farmer turns out to be this psycho
deformed creature who insanely murders people. These three new people fall victims to the slaughter. There
is some dark humor mixed in with the sick bloody gore all through out the film. This turned out to be a really
killer independent Horror flick! Check this one out & hold out till the end!

THE HOWLING (R) MGM HOME ENTERTAINMENT (1981)
Starring: Dee Wallace, Patrick Malnee, Dennis Dugan, Christopher Stone, Belinda Balaski & more.
After a traumatic experience during afield report & news reporter checks into a fancy California resort. The
place is called The Colony & they cater to people who need to get away & relax & recoup from their
everyday lives. She hears howling outside her cabin at night & realizes that she is not in a place she wants to
be. The Colony is a place of werewolves. There are a lot of campy things mixed in with the Horror. This is a
classic & considered one of the better werewolf films. If you haven't seen this film yet, you must. It features
Dee Wallace, the mom from E.T.
THE SURGEON (R) ALLUMINATION FILMWORKS (1995)
Starring: Isabel Glasser, James Remar, Sean Haberie, Peter Boyle, Malcom McDowell & more.
Two doctors have their reputation placed on the line when they keep questioning the ethics of another
Doctor who is doing experimental operations on patients. They get accused of the experiments themselves &
are dismissed. They secretly do their own investigations & find out that an ex-surgeon has been torturing &
killing off the patients in the hospital. They help the police uncover the killer & capture him. The film was a
little slow at points & reminded me of the movie DR. GIGGLES a little bit, but not as good or bizarre. Still
this was a decent low budget flick with some cool killing scenes.
WIZARD OF GORE (R) DIMENSION EXTREME (2007)
Starring: Kip Par due, Bijou Phillips, Crispen Glover, Jeffrey Combs, Brad Dour if & more.
This is a remake of the 1970 Herschel Gordon Lewis film of the same name. An amateur journalist goes to
see an underground magic show. The magician has a show like no one else. He seems to violently murder his
female volunteers right in front of his audiences. It's all considered an illusion until the journalist investigates
& discovers that the girls have been turning up dead a few days later from the same wounds they were
inflicted with during the show. He tries to expose him to people, but no one is buying it & they just think
he's crazy. This is filled tons of gore, blood & violence. Crispen Glover was a perfect choice in the lead role
& the same with the Suicide Girls as his assistants. . I dig this film a lot, but enjoy the original much better!
