CRAZY EIGHTS (R) AFTER DARK HORRORFEST (2006)
Starring: Dina Meter, George Newbern, Traci Lords, Dan Deluca, Frank Whaley & more.
A group of friends gather for another friends funeral after he commits suicide. The friends are giving a surprise
group settles in at the mansion and start to relax when a bunch of creepy and spooky things start happening. at
the funeral in the form of a map. The map leads the group to a hidden mansion in the middle of nowhere. The
The keep catching glimpses of a small girl ghost, but never fully sure of what they saw. Once things get a little
darker the group of friends start dying off. Some of the friends are annoying enough that you can't wait for them
to get killed off. The story was a little weak and poorly executed, the acting was decent and what you'd expect
from a low budget Horror flick. The story was slow and never really holds your interest. I a huge Horror fan so I
will give everything at least one viewing, this was one of those films. Good for one viewing and that's about it.
IGOR (PG) MGM STUDIOS (2008)
Starring: John Cusack, Myleene Klass, Robin Walsh, Matt Mckenna, Steve Buscemi & more.
Igor (voiced by John Cusack) is a brilliant scientist who is only held back by his physical deformity. He wants
to show everyone that he is more than just a mindless button pusher and servant. He wants to get out of the
shadows of his boss the mad Dr. Glickenstein (voiced by John Cleese) by winning the Evil Scientist Fair. In
return he would also win the heart of the village beauty, Gretchen. He tries to come up with an invention with
the help of his friends, a zombie rabbit and a brain in a jar. This is a family freindly animated feature, but it has
so many references to the Horror genre, mostly the classic Frankenstein stories. There is a lot of dark stuff in
the film but it is all light hearted. This film is a mix of THE HUNCHBACK & NIGHTMARE BEFORE
CHRISTMAS.
INTRUDER (R) SYNAPSE FILMS (1989)
Starring: Elizabeth Cox, Renee Estevez, Dan Hicks, Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell & more.
A local grocery store is going out of business and on their last night they end up getting a customer they don't
want. The boyfriend of one of the cashiers just got released from prison and will do what ever he can to get her
back. The employees of the grocery store spend the last night cleaning up the store and doing what ever they
can to try and stay alive as they soon realize there is a maniac in the store. One by one the employees get killed
off in gruesome ways as they try to survive and figure out who the killer is. This is a low budget Horror flick
that is a bit slow in parts, but makes up for it in the death scenes. The film stars Bruce Campbell & Sam Raimi,
which was the real reason that I wanted to see this flick. A must for fans of these guys & die hard Horror fans,
but one the casual Horror fan will probably want to pass on.
NIGHT OF THE DEMONS (REMAKE) (R) SEVEN ARTS PICTURES (2010)
Starring: Monica Keena, Shannon Elizabeth, Tatyana Kanavka, Edward Furlong, Linnea Quigley & more.
This is another remake of a classic 80's Horror flicks. I recently watched the original again and then this remake.
They did a good job with keeping true to the original story. Shannon Elizabeth who plays Angela Feld wants to
throw the ultimate Halloween party. She holds the party in the rumoured to be cursed Broussard Mansion.
What they didn't realize was that it would be their last. The gates to the mansion get locked and creates a barrier
from Hell around the property. Some evil spirits take over and posses the party goers who turn evil and then go
around killing other people at the party. The evil spirits jump from person to person so no body truly knows
who is possessed and who will be next. This was a decent remake and it was really cool they gave Linnea
Quigley a part in the film since she has the most remember able scene in the original!
ORPHAN (R) DARK CASTLE ENTERTAINMENT (2009)
Starring: Vera Farmiga, Peter Sarsgaard, Isabelle Fuhrman, Jimmy Bennett, Margo Martindale & more.
Kate & John Coleman are trying to pick up the pieces after their child's tragic death. Once they start to get
things in check they end up adopting a 9 year old girl named Esther. They do have two other children and they
try to get them to accept Esther into their family. The children are the first to shun her as they feel very uneasy
when ever she is around. They soon find out why, when she starts acting strange and doing strange things. They
quickly fear her as she attempts to kill them and make it look like an accident. The mom quickly see what she
really is, but Esther keeps getting closer to the father and tries to take him away from the family. They all soon
uncover the truth to who Esther is and have to stop her! This was a pretty creepy & cool flick.

PRO-LIFE (TV-MA) SHOWTIME NETWORKS (2006)
Starring: Caitlin Wachs, Emmanuelle Vaugier, Mark Feuerstein, Biski Gugushg, Jeremy Jones & more.
This episode of the Showtime series MASTERS OF HORROR was directed by the legend John Carpenter. A
fifteen year old girl gets pregnant and doesn't want to have the baby. She goes to an abortion clinic to end the
pregnancy. Once there and ready for the procedure her father and brother burst into the clinic. They hold the
doctors hostage and want them to stop the procedure. They want the baby to be born. They soon regret that
decision when the vicious demon monster baby is born. It quickly wreaks havoc and destruction upon the
building and the people inside. The people get slaughtered and gore splatters everywhere. This was a little
weird, but another cool feature to add to the classics that John Carpenter has created! I loved this series & really
miss it!

SURVIVAL OF THE DEAD (R) MAGNOLIA PICTURES (2009)
Starring: Alan Van Sprang, Kenneth Welsh, Kathleen Munroe, Devon Bostick, Richard Fitzpatrick & more.
George A Romero is back with yet another "Of The Dead" film. This time around a group of military soldiers
seek refuge on a small island. On this island lives two families O'Flynns & Muldoons. The O'Flynns are haters
of the undead and the Muldoons are trying to save the undead by searching out a cure. The two families are at
battle with each other and the military group are stuck in the middle. All of them eventually need to work
together to survive from the undead. Zombies are everywhere and the blood and gore soon follows. This is my
least favorite of all the George A Romero films, but a not so good Romero Zombie film is still way better than
most of the Zombie flicks out there! Zombies! Brains! Zombies!
THE BLACK CAT (TV-MA) SHOWTIME NETWORKS (2006)
Starring: Jeffrey Combs, Elyse Levesque, Aron Tager, Eric Keenleyside, Patrick Gallagher & more.
Stuart Gordon is the master director behind this episode of Showtime's MASTERS OF HORROR series.
Jeffrey Combs stars as Edgar Allen Poe on this creepy classic thriller about the macabre author. In this story he
is suffering from writers block and even worst is that he is being tormented by a evil black cat. The cat is
causing him to slowly go insane. He eventually hits his breaking point and kills the cat, but the cat won't remain
dead. It keeps coming back to continuously torture him. There are lots of things in this story that give nods to a
lot of Edgar Allen Poe's classic stories. This was a very cool story and was played perfectly by Horror genre
favorite Jeffrey Combs. He really makes you believe he is the great Edgar Allen Poe.

THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE: FIRST SEQUENCE (R) IFC FILMS (2009)
Starring: Dieter Laser, Ashley C Williams, Ashlynn Yennie, Akihiro Kitamura, Andreas Leupold & more.
THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE is one of the movies that I was so anxious to see. I met the 3 people that make up
The Human Centipede at a convention and it made me even more want to see this. Two American girls are
secluded villa that is owned by a Dr. Josef Heiter. His specialty is doing surgery to separate Siamese twins. He
has gone a little crazy and now wants to do the opposite. He wants attach people together going mouth to anus
and having one long digestive system running through them all to create "The Human Centipede". He traps the
two girls along with a Japanese man and creates his vision. This is one of the most bizarre and crazy films I've
ever seen. Even though it is a low budget film it is done extremely well, from the writing, acting, the way it was
filmed and all the SFX & make up. This is a must for every person who loves Horror and bizarre cinema. This
would defiantly be one of the most horrific things that could be done to someone. I loved it!
www.HUMANCENTIPEDE.co.uk
Starring: Janette Armand, Doug Fahl, Cooper Hopkins, Russel Hodgkinson, Cornelia Moore & more.
A bunch of flesh eating zombies assault a small town and the locals must band together to fight for their lives and
destroy the zombies. The group includes Tom and Lance who are a gay couple, Frida an Iranian American
college student, conservative Reverend Haggis and some other town folk set out to destroy all zombies! The film
is set in paranoid post 9/11 America so tensions are extremely high, with lots of social satire and tons of blood
and guts. This film is actually one of the better low budget Zombie flicks I've seen in the past few years. Done in
the vein of SHAUN OF THE DEAD & DEAD ALIVE. This is a must for all fans of Zombies!
