HORROR MOVIE REVIEWS
(May 2009)
DEAD CLOWNS (R) LIONS GATE FILMS (2003)
Starring: Debbie Rochon, Lucien Eisenach, Brinke Stevens, Robynn Griggs & more.
A circus train crashes into the river & the towns folk let them all drown. Fifty years later the town fears the rise
of these dead clowns. A hurricane is brewing & will stir up this secret & awakens an army of zombie clowns.
The clowns seek to take revenge on the folks of this small town. The people try to do what they can to escape,
but they all meet their grizzly end. This film was very low budget & didn't have too great of effects. The story is
a killer concept, but was kind of written very weak.  I liked Debbie Rochon in the film, but the rest of it was
pretty bad. If they had a bigger budget this could have been a very cool film!
DEAD SPACE: DOWNFALL (R) ANCHOR BAY ENTERTAINMENT (2008)

FEAST 2: SLOPPY SECONDS (R) DIMENSION EXTREME (2008)
Starring: Jenny Wade, Diane Geldner, Cassie Shea Watson, Martin Klebba & more.
This sequel take place right where the fist film left off. The survivors from the tavern head out to the closest
town to look for help. The vicious creatures track their blood trail to the town & then start destroying
everything in sight. They must ban together with some of the locals to try & survive this slaughterfest. The
creatures do everything to the humans of the town, like rape, slaughter, eat & anything else they can. This
movie was awesome. It had a great balance of horror, gore, comedy, action & suspense. If you liked the first
flick then your going to love the second one!

JASON GOES TO HELL: FINAL FRIDAY (R) NEW LINE CINEMA (1993)
Starring: Kane Hodder, Erin Gray, John D. Lemay, Kari Keegan, Steven Williams & more.
This was supposed to be the final Friday in the series & reveals the legacy behind Jason Voorhees. It is revealed
that Jason has some super natural powers that lets him assume the identity of anyone he touches. They
transplant his black heart into a new body & then his tortured evil soul jumps from body to body. It was a bit
of a lame concept & was better when he just went around slashing the hell out of people. Jason only appears as
himself for a very little bit of the movie in the beginning & at the end. The best part is the final scene of Freddy
Krueger's hand dragging Jason's hockey mask down to hell. This was a hint to a Freddy vs. Jason movie that
didn't happen until many years later!
JASON X (R) NEW LINE CINEMA (2001)
Starring: Kane Hodder, Lexa Doig, Chuck Campbell, Lisa Ryder, Peter Mensah & more.
This film takes place in the future in the year 2455 A.D, In this future Earth is an abandoned contaminated
planet that has been this way for centuries. A visiting archaeology class discovers two frozen bodies in the
remains of a research facility. One is of a beautiful woman & the other is Jason Voorhees. The students don't
know the legend of Jason & thaw him out. Once Jason is revived all hell breaks loose as he unleashes his fury
on the people in this space station. This flick goes back to the early days of the series with some very cool kill
scenes & also takes a new twist on the series. I know a lot of people didn't like the new Jason towards the end,
but I love this film & think it's one of the better in the series! It's face smashingly good!
MANIAC COP 2 (R) FOX HOME VIDEO (1990)
Starring: Robert Davi, Claudia Christian, Michale Lerner, Bruce Campbell, Laurene Landon & more.
After being sent to prison ex-cop Matt Cordell is brutally slain & later rises from the dead. He joins up with a
serial killer & they start killing off the hookers in Times Square. An anxious detective is placed on the case &
things end up getting very personal. One of the kidnapped victims is a female police psychologist. They keep
her hostage in hopes of luring more police to them so they can kill them off. They take the story from the first
film a little deeper this time around. There is a little more action in this flick as well. Bruce Campbell also
reprises his role from the first film too. This is the best film in the series. If you haven't seen these films yet
start from the beginning & enjoy!
MANIAC COP 3: BADGE OF SILENCE (R) ACADEMY ENTERTAINMENT (1993)
Starring: Robert Davi, Robert Z'Dar, Caitlin Dulany, Gretchen Becker, Paul Gleason & more.
Once again the
MANIAC COP has returned from the dead when a female cop is shot down during an attempted
hostage rescue. This time around he is looking for a woman of his own. He is after any cop he can get a hold of
& murders them, until he finds the one he wants for his bride. He kidnaps a woman & the police must save her.
They go on a wild chase all while more people get killed. This third installment was the least of my favorites out
of the series, but it is still a good addition. This would be another good film series to be remade, since
Hollywood has been remaking a lot of the older horror flicks!
REST STOP 2: DON'T LOOK BACK (R) WARNER HOME VIDEO (2008)
Starring: Richard Tillman, Jessie Ward, Graham Norris, Joey Mendicino, Julie Mond & more.
A young couple leave home & head out on the road to never bee seen again, because they were murdered at a
REST STOP in the first  film. A year has passed & the brother of the boy sets out with his friends to find him.
They don't expect to run into the same madman, but they do. They are being stalked & tortured by this psycho.
same time they try to stay alive & escape this crazed killer. They  go into a little more detail of the killer in this
film & add a lot more gore & intensity. You don't really have to see the first film to understand this one, but
there are some hints to the first one.
SLASH (R) FIRST LOOK INTERNATIONAL (2002)
Starring: James O Shea, Danny Keogh, Milan Murray, Guy Raphaely, Anton Voster & more.
short break when their lead singer is informed that there has been a death in his family. They accompany him
home to his families farm where they soon discover a creepy family secret. They find out that the father has
been killing people for many years now & his sons band mates are going to be the next victims. The band
members do what they can to try & survive the night & escape the farm. This was a really low budget slasher
flick, that had some good potential. The kids in the film were highly annoying & you just wanted to see them
die!
THE KILLING GENE (R) DIMENSION EXTREME (2008)
Starring: Barbara Adair, Stellan Skardsgard, Peter Ballance, Selma Blair, Melissa George & more.
A cop is forced to take another look at a case that he thought long closed when victims start piling up that have
been murdered in the same way as this sadistic killer. The killer has been targeting members of gangs in the local
city. The cop & his rookie partner are put on the case & get forced into many decisions that lead them into
killing some of the gang members. This is more of a murder mystery & psychological thriller than a Horror
movie, but it has some gruesome killing scenes & a really twisted & creepy vibe through out the whole film.
This is a very different role for Selma Blair!
