CABIN FEVER 2: SPRING FEVER (R) LIONS GATE (2009)
Starring: Noah Segan, Rider Strong, Alexi Wasser, Rusty Kelley, Marc Senter & more.
The flesh eating virus that decimated a cabin full of co-eds is still out there. This time around a high school full of
kids gets infected. The stream in which the town gets their drinking water is contaminated, which also happens to
be where the local bottled water company gets their water. They are the providers of the water for the high
school prom. Once a bunch of kids start drinking the water, they start breaking out with the virus. Their skin
starts to bubble and blister & then peals off their bodies. There is a lot of gory gross parts with the skin falling
off, but other than that it's like a typical teen Horror flick. This is a decent film, but is no where near as good as
the original film. You can still check this out with out seeing the first film and understand what's going on.
CASE 39 (R) PARAMOUNT VANTAGE (2009)
Starring: Renee Zellweger, Jodelle Ferland, Ian McShane, Bradley Cooper, Keith Rennie & more.
Renee Zellweger is a social worker who is investigating two parents for abusing their daughter. Once she finally
gets her seperated from her parents, she decides to take the girl in and care for her. While she tries to figure out
why the parents were abusing her, see comes to find out that the young girls is not as innocent as she thinks. All
these strange things start happening that revolve around the girl. She eventually discovers the girl is pure evil and
needs to find a way to destroy her. There is a lot of cool death scenes through out the story, but I did find a lot
of faults in the story line. If you can get past a few of these holes in the story then you'll really enjoy this film.

DEAD SNOW (R) IFC FILMS (2009)
Starring: Vegar Hoel, Stig Frode Henriksen, Charlotte Frogner, Lasse Valdal, Evy Kasseth Rosten & more.
A group of Norwegian friends retreat to a cabin in the mountains of Norway. They go to relax, party and forget
their troubles for a few days. They don't realize that a shit load of trouble is about to hit them. They are attacked
by an army of Nazi Zombies that once ruled the area. The Zombie have come back to claim their land and will
kill anyone & everyone that gets in their way. This film mixes in a lot of humor with the Horror and gore. The
film is shot so nicely with the dark decaying Zombies and blood on the snowy mountain background. There is
tons of gore & dismemberment all through out. If you don't mind the subtitles you will highly enjoy this film.
One of the best Zombie films I've seen ever. Done in the vein of
ARMY OF DARKNESS & EVIL DEAD.

FRANKENSTEIN (TV-14) LIONS GATE FILMS (2004)
Starring; Parker Posey, Vincent Perez, Thomas Kretschmann, Adam Goldberg, Ivana Milicevic & more.
This story takes place two centuries after Dr. Frankenstein created his monster. He has discovered a way to let
himself and the monsters survive for all these years. There are a bunch of gruesome murders happening through
out the city. Adam Goldberg & Parker Posey are two detectives investigating the murders. They finally track
them back to the Dr. and discover his creation and who has been doing all the killings. They try to stop the
monster and doctor, but never fully stop them. The film is done in kind of a gritty dark way and was a pretty
decent twist on the whole Frankenstein story. The film has no real ending because this was going to be the pilot
for a new TV series that never went into development. A cool story non the less.
HOUSE (R) LIONS GATE (2008)
Starring: Michael Madsen, Bill Moseley, Reynaldo Rosales, Heidi Dippold, Julie Ann Emery & more.
I picked this film to watch because I'm a big fan of Bill Moseley, who played Chop Top in TEXAS
CHAINSAW MASSACRE 2. The film follows a young couple who's marriage is in trouble after the death of
their child. They, along with some friends head out on a weekend getaway. Their car breaks down and they try to
seek shelter in an old creepy house at the end of the road. The people who occupy the house are a bit creepy and
weird, but they welcome them in. While in the house a bunch of bizarre stuff starts to happen and they soon
realize they are trapped within the house. As they struggle to escape a bunch of horrible things are revealed to
them about their own lives. The house exposes them for who they really are. This was kind of a creepy
possessed house thriller type film that relys more on suspense then gore. A cool film and fun watch.
JENNIFER'S BODY (R) FOX ATOMIC (2009)
Starring: Megan Fox, Amanda Seyfried, Johnny Simmons, Adam Brody, Sal Cortez & more.
Megan Fox is the popular hot cheerleader at her high school. Her and her best friend go to see a lame Emo band
at a local bar. After the show she sleeps with the band and they sacrifice her to become a successful and famous
band. The sacrifice goes wrong and she becomes possessed by a demon. The demon has a strong hunger for the
flesh of all boys. She sets out to kill any male who she can sink her teeth into. Now her best friend must some
how stop her. This isn't an all out Horror film, they do toss in a lot of teen comedy mixed with the gore. There
are some cool death scenes too. It's a good thing Megan Fox is good to look at, cause her acting is terrible, but
this was a decent flick over all for another teen Horror film!
THE BROKEN (R) AFTER DARK FILMS (2008)
Starring: Lena Headey, Ulrich Thomsen, Melvil Poupaud, Michelle Duncan, Asier Newman & more.
Gina lives a normal life until one day when she is driving down a London street and sees a woman who looks
exactly like her. From then on her life has been turned upside down. All forms of reality ceases to exist and she is
thrown into a mind bending nightmare and inexplicable events. This is more of a mystery thriller than an all out
Horror film. The film explores the examination of the innerself and the horrors that come from withing. The
movie is a bit errie and creepy but not in the typical sense. It's one of those films that you need to watch more
than once in order to pick up the clues to what is really happening. The film didn't get much hype when it was
released, but is slowly building up a strong fan base. Give it a try and let the film mess with your mind.
THE LAIR OF THE WHITE WORM (R) VESTRON PICTURES (1988)
Starring: Amanda Donohoe, Hugh Grant, Catherine Oxenberg, Peter Capaldi, Sammi Davis & more.
In a remote corner of England a mysterious skull is unearthed and brought back to the city. Lady Sylvia then
steals the skull to be used in her erotic worshipping of a Pagan god. This being The White Worm who hungers for
the taste of virgin flesh. She then kidnapps a young lady who becomes the damsel in distress. Hugh Grant must
now search out the lair and rescue the young virgin. This film is done in a more modern style of Ed Wood type
films, just done a bit better as well. The film is adapted from a Bram Stoker novel. There is a lot of really bizarre
and weird stuff going on in this film. It's not a straight up Horror flick, but is definately weird enough to please
many Horror fans out there. It is a must for at least one viewing.
THE LAST RESORT (R) LIONS GATE FILMS (2009)
Starring: America Olivo, Paulie Rojas, Marissa Tait, Sita Young, Arianne Zucker & more.
A soon to be married bride heads out with her bridesmaids for a fun and exciting  weekend in a tropical beach
front resort. The girls get ambushed and robbed, beaten and left in the middle of nowhere. They try to search for
somewhere they can rest and sleep for the night. They eventually come across an abandoned resort. They head
inside and things turn from bad to worst. There is an evil force that starts to take control of them and forces them
to try and kill each other. The film is very slow moving, with bad acting and storyline, but I have seen a lot worst.
The best part is that the chicks are some what decent looking, but that's about it. Watch this one at your own risk.
UNEARTHED (R) AFTER DARK FILMS (2007)
Starring: Emmanuelle Vaugier, Luke Goss, Charles Q. Murphy, Beau Garrett, Tommy Dewey & more.
An archeologist unknowingly excavates an alien creature while digging in the desert. The creature emerges from
underground and starts to destroy the near by town. It hungers for the taste of human flesh and proceeds to
slaughter anyone it can get it 's claws into. This was one of the films in the
AFTER DARK: 8 FILMS TO DIE
FOR!
The creature is a little cheesy looking, but makes up for it with lots of gore & blood. Most people wouldn't
like this film, but I love low budget creepy creature & monster movies. This was another one that I actually
enjoyed. If you dig films like this then you'll enjoy it, but if not, then don't even give it a try.
