She gets her sight back, but see visions of a brutal murder & tries to piece the stuff together to solve the of this crime. It was a little like FINAL DESTINATION, but with a bit of a different story. A little slow at times, but over all a good film!!! Check it out if you can!!! www.NAINAfilm.com |
SQUIRM (R) MGM (1976) Starring: Don Scardino, Patricia Pearly, R.A. Dow, Naomi Sanders, Fran Higgins & more. I saw this movie when I was a little kid about 6 or 7 & was kind of freaked out by it. Now I can't believe I was. A small town is hit by an electrical storm that knocks out all the power. Some of the downed power lines hit a bait store & caused all the worms to become vicious & rise up from the ground & attack it's residents. The town starts to fill up with tons & tons of worms that fill the homes & devour anyone they can. The story was a bit cheesy & so was the acting, but for it's time it had some pretty decent make up effects for a low budget Creature Horror film! Not a favorite, but worth a few viewings!!!
V FOR VENDETTA (R) WARNER BROS (2006) Starring: Natalie Portman, Hugo Weaving, Stephen Rea, Stephen Fry, John Hurt & more. This movie takes place in a futuristic society in London England, where the government rules everything. There is a man who shows up & blows up a building in the city to start the revolution. This man has some personal reasons for the revolution as well as political ones. He does some pirate broadcast, sends letters to the press & leaves his markings all around town. The people start to believe his ways & begin to rise up against the government. There is a lot of action in this film, with some cool fight scenes, but there is also a lot of dialogue that gets really boring at times. There is a balance of both, so it's worth sitting through to get to the good parts! http://VFORVENDETTA.warnerbros.com

LOST SKELETON OF CADAVRA (PG) TRI STAR PICTURES (2001) Starring: Fay Masterson, Andrew Parks, Susan McConnell, Brian Howe, Jennifer Blaire & more. This film was a bit weird. It was made in 2001, but is done all in black & white & is supposed to be like a B horror SCI-FI film from the 1950's. They pull it off, very well. There is a lot of cheesy acting, bad story & bad special effects, all done purposely though. The movie is about a dedicated scientist aided by his clueless wife who try to save the world from a radioactive monster. Along for the ride are some curious space aliens. There is also an evil scientist & a crabby skeleton too. This is a good send up to the best B movies in the 1950's. This is worth checking out, just for a few laughs!!! www.LOSTSKELETON.com

INVISIBLE MANIAC (R) REPUBLIC PICTURES CORP (1990) Starring: Noel Peters, Savannah, Stephanie Blake, Melissa Moore, Clement Von Frackenstein & more. This is a low budget B movie from 1990. The film starts out with a little kid who is watching a girl undress through his telescope, when his mom finds him & flips out on him. He grows up & goes to medical school. He comes up with some medical serum to make you invisible. The experiment goes wrong & he kills a bunch of the doctors he works with. He is placed in a mental institute & eventually escape. He moves & becomes a biology teacher in a high school. He starts getting turned on by all the girls in school & starts working on his invisibility serum again. It works this time, but the side effects are worst & he goes very crazy. He rapes & kills the women in the school & just kills the men. The movie was OK for a B movie. There was cheesy acting, bad special effects, but there was a lot of topless women to make up for it!!!
