BOOGEYMAN 3 (R) GHOSTHOUSE PICTURES (2008)
Starring: Erin Gahill, Chuck Hittinger, Mimi Michaels, Matt Rippy, Nikki Sanderson & more.
This is the third installment in the BOOGEYMAN series of films. The film follows A young girl in college. It's
supposed to be the girl from the second film after her brother was killed off by the BOOGEYMAN. She fears he
is coming for her next & her friends at school. After her roommates supposedly commits suicide she tries to
convince them all that the BOOGEYMAN is real & they are all in danger. As she tries to save each of her
friends they keep getting killed off in specific ways that would pertain to each of them, to make it look as if
they are killing themselves. This film connects all three of the films together & continues the story on pretty
well. They leave it open for another film to be added next. If you liked the other two movies then you'll dig this
one as well!
DISTRICT 9 (R) TRISTAR PICTURES (2009)
Starring: Shartlo Copley, Jason Cope, Nathalie Bolt, Sylvaine Strike, Elizabeth Mkandawie & more.
An alien spaceship lands on Earth & hovers over South America for twenty years. The aliens themselves are
placed in a fenced in area & kept watched by the government. A global business conglomerate called Multi
National United keeps forcing the alines into doing stuff. They run tests on them & the weapons they have.
There is a rogue group of people who are exploiting the aliens for their own gain. The two groups collide leaving
the aliens in the middles to fend for themselves. They start to fight back against both groups & chaos erupts.
The only thing they ever wanted to do was go home, but they were never left to do so. This was a really well
done independent film that is highly recommended. It is one of the best films of 2009!

BORDERLAND (R) LIONS GATE FILMS (2007)
Starring: Brian Presley, Rider Strong, Jake Muxworthy, Beto Cuevas, Martha Higareda & more.
Three college buddies set out for a fun weekend getaway south of the border. They want to go party, chase
women, get drunk & do drugs. They try to find someone that can hook them up. They run into these guys who
take them out to party & get messed up. One of the buddies wanders off & then gets taken by a car load of
guys. They hold him captive& torture him, then prepare him for a Satanic sacrifice. His friends go to police, but
they do nothing about it. The guys go looking for him themselves & try to rescue him. There are some really
messed up things going on in this film, but the most disturbing is the fact that this is all based on a true story.
There is a documentary on the disc with the real events, which is kind of creepy!

HOUSE OF A 1000 CORPSES (R) LIONS GATE FILMS (2003)
Starring: Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, Karen Black, Erin Daniels, Rainn Wilson & more.
I know most Horror fans have seen this film already or at least should have. I have seen it a lot , but never
reviewed it, so thought I would now, since I just recently watched it again. This is Rob Zombie's first film & a
violent gory & insane masterpiece that is a throw back to 70's Horror. Two couples set out to find the truth
about a legendary character named Doctor Satan who has killed tons of people. They soon find themselves
hostages of a sick & deranged family in the backwoods of town. They do a bunch of sick & twisted things to
gave birth to the great character Captain Spaldin. An amazingly great film for any fan of 70's styled Grindhouse
& Horror films!
KILLER NUN (R) BLUE UNDERGROUND (1978)
Starring: Anita Ekberg, Paola Morra, Alida Valli, Massimo Serato, Daniele Dublino & more.
A mentally disturbed nun has some nasty habits. She suffers from a brain disorder & becomes addicted to
morphine. This nun starts to become out of control & starts to kill people in the mental hospital that she was
commited to. Her colleagues won't help her & more & more patients start dying. With the her crazy behavior she
becomes the prime suspect. There are some "killer" death scenes & gore, but the movie is a little slow through
out. This is a classic Horror Slasher flick from the 70's!
SICK NURSES (R) MAGNOLIA HOME ENTERTAINMENT (2007)
Starring: Libby Brien, Dollaros Dachapratumwan, Philip Hersh, Wicjan Jarujinda, Kanya Rattapetch & more.
This is a bizarre Japanese Horror flick about 6 nurses & a doctor who get brutally slain. They are stalked by a
vengeful spirit who kills them all off in bloody & deranged ways. The nurses & doctors were illegally harvesting
body parts to sell on the black market. One of the other nurses found out & threatened to squeal to the law if
they didn't stop. They didn't want to stop, so they decided to stop her. They put her on the table & carved her
up to keep her quiet. She curses them as they are killing her & shortly after is when her spirit rises from the
grave & comes after them all. There are a lot of very cool Japanese Horror films out there & this is definately at
the top of the list! Check it out!
THE COOK (R) ANCHOR BAY (2008)
Starring: Mark Hengst, Makinna Ridgway, Kit Paquin, Penny Drake, Nina Fehren & more.
This film is a Horror Comedy spoof type film that takes place in a sorority house. The sority house girls are
waiting for their new chef to arrive. They are planning on having a fun filled weekend of wild partying &
feasting. The strange chef arrives & doesn't speak much English. He keeps making them all these great meals, but
the coeds start noticing that some of their friends are disappearing. Each time THE COOK has a new meal for
them, another one of their friends is not there. Coincidence? The last reamaing sisters iclude the slut, the dumb
hot blonde & the bible thumper all band together to survive. This film is filled with lots of laughs, gore & nudity!
THE FINAL DESTINATION (R) NEW LINE CINEMA (2009)
Starring: Nick O'Bannon, Shantel Van Santten, Nick Zane, Haley Webb, Mykelti Williamson & more.
This is supposed to be the last film in this franchise. This is the 4th installment & the first one done in 3-D. A
group of friends are at a race track watching the race when one of the guys has a premintion of a car wreck on
the track that ends up in the stands & kills some people. He sees everyone panicing to get out causing more
chaos & death. He then tries to get everyone to leave as the accident actually happens. The survivors feel they
have escaped death, but the soon find out they are wrong. There is a bunch of bizarre deaths that each of the
survivors falls victims to. The story was a little weak, but the deaths were really cool as usual. The 3-D aspect
worked in some areas, but others was kind of pointless. It's worth checking out if your into the other films.

THE MANGLER (R) NEW LINE CINEMA (1995)
Starring: Robert Englund, Ted Levine, Daniel Matmor, Jeremy Crutchley, Vanessa Pike & more.
This sounds like it would be a dumb concept for a film, but it is actually done really well. Robert Englund
(NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET) is the owner of a cleaning factory for linens. They have a huge folding
machine that you feed the sheets into & it pulls it through & folds it. Simple, right? Well for some reason the
machine is possessed & has a hunger for human flesh. There is a young woman who gets pulled into the machine
& is crushed to death. As the investigation goes on more & more people are pulled into the machine & killed.
Things just keep getting weirder & weirder as the film goes on. There are great performances from both Robert
Englund & Ted Levine (SILENCE OF THE LAMBS). This is a classic in the Horror genre & should be viewed
by all Horror fans!
Starring: Emily Browning, Arielle Kebbel, David Strathaim, Elizabeth Banks, Maya Massar & more.
A young girl is commited to a mental hospital after the tragic death of her mother. Upon her release she
discovers that her father is going to marry the nurse of his late wife. This woman might not have the best
intentions in marrying her father. She plans to uncover what her motive is. She keeps getting warnings from her
mother's ghost in figuring out what happened to her mother. She is also getting help from her sister in finding out
what the nurse is up to. There are some strange things happening along the way that makes the girl kind of freak
out. There is a big twist at the end of the film. This is a remake of the Japanese Horror film THE TWO
SISTERS. This version was cool, but the original was much better.
