DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK (R) MIRAMAX FILMS (2011)
Starring: Katie Holmes, Guy Pearce, Bailee Madison, Julia Blake, Garry McDonald & more.
A single father moves into a new home with his young daughter. His new girlfriend moves in with them as well.
The home is a old huge home with many hidden rooms and secrets. The young daughter goes exploring in the
house and discovers some hidden creatures in the basement. They slowly become friends with the creatures or so
she thinks. As she lets the creatures out to explore the home they slowly reveal their evil nature. They only
come out in the dark and only reveal themselves to the young girl. She becomes very afraid of them and they
start torturing her. The fathers girlfriend sees them and does what she can to protect the young girl. The story is
a bit creepy and dark and reminded me of a Brothers Grimm story done by Guillermo Del Toro (
HELLBOY).

DREAD (R) MATADOR PICTURES (2009)
Starring: Jackson Rathbone, Hanne Steen, Laura Donnelly, Jonathan Readwin, Shawn Evans & more.
An outcast cinema student sets out to make a documentary about peoples fears. He becomes friends with
another outcast named Quaid and they use his home to do the interviews with people for the documentary. He
himself has a fear of being in a vehicle, because at age six he lost his parents in a car crash. He has another friend
Cheryl work with them. Quaid gets to know them really well and delves into what all their fears were. He then
starts to turn on them as well as some of the people in the documentary and makes their fears come true. There
are a few twists in the film and becomes pretty intense at times. The film is based on a Clive Barker short story
and is more of a psychological thriller than an all out Horror film.
DREAM CRUISE (TV-MA) SHOWTIME (2007)
Starring: Daniel Gillies, Yoshino Kimura, Mimo Ninagawa, Ryo Ishibashi, Thom Irvine & more.
DREAM CRUISE is and episode of the Showtime series MASTERS OF HORROR. This episode was directed
by Norio Tsuruta who is the Japanese Horror director of the film
RINGU. In this story a business man  is invited
on a cruise by one of his clients. The man accepts the offer and meets the client on his boat. Once there he is
greeted by the clients wife. The man knows her already, because he has been sleeping with her. The man soon
joins them and they set sail. The cruise starts off normal until the man reveals that he knows they have been
sleeping together. The film is not really a Horror film, but more of a thriller. It was a little slow for the first half,
but then picks up in the second half.

FAMILY (TV-MA) SHOWTIME (2006)
Starring: George Wendt, Meredith Monroe, Matt Keeslar, Haley Guiel, Kerry Sandomirsky & more.
This was a very cool episode of
MASTERS OF HORROR that was directed by John Landis of AN
AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON
. It stars George Wendt of CHEERS who is a single man living in a
quiet suburban neighborhood. He seems like a nice friendly man, but has some dark secrets. He is a serial killer
who has the bodies of his victims in his home. He sets them up and talks to them as if they were still alive. He
also hears them talking back to him. A new couple moves in next door and he quickly becomes friends with them.
He has really taking a liking to the wife and tries to start a relationship with her. She gets close to him as well, but
she has some secrets of her own. This was a killer episode and one of the better ones of the series.

FROZEN (R) ANCHOR BAY FILMS (2010)
Starring: Emma Bell, Shawn Ashmore, Kevin Zeggers, Ed Ackerman, Rileah Vanderbilt & more.
Three friends set out on a weekend on the slopes doing some skiing and snowboarding. They hit the slopes a few
times through out the day and convince the chair lift operator to let them go one more time. They head on up the
hill for one last run. The operator gets called away and another operator takes over. He tells him there is no one
else on the lift, so the new operator shuts it down. The three of them get stuck up on the lift with no one else
around. The other thing is the resort is closed down for the week, so no one is coming by to help them. They try
to figure out ways to escape before they freeze to death. This was a very intense film from the moment they get
stuck to the very end. It makes you feel like you are stuck there with them. A highly recommended film.

This is another one of the episodes of the Showtime series

disfigured and horribly burned. The wife is left on life support in a coma. The husband is trying to do what he can
to get her off of life support and let her die. There is a hidden reason that he wants to do this. The wife's specter
keeps appearing to the husband and haunts him. These is one of the better episodes of the series and is more of a
super natural thriller than an all out Horror flick. This episode was directed by Rob Schmidt who directed the first
WRONG TURN film!

SPLATTER (TV-14) NEW HORIZON PICTURE (2009)
Starring: Mark Alen, Corey Feldman, Tara Leigh, Stuart Pankin, Tony Todd & more.
This is a twenty nine minute short web film done by Roger Cormen. The film is about a super rich & famous
Rock star played by Corey Feldmen. He invites a group of supposed friends to his mansion home where they are
played a video. The video is of Corey Feldmen committing suicide by a bullet through the head. Some how he has
come back from beyond the grave to torment and kill the people in his life. This is because the way they just suck
off his lifestyle and used him. As each one is about to be killed it is revealed what each is guilty of. This was
better than I expected it to be, because I can't stand Corey Feldman and his acting is horrible. Everyone else in the
film was pretty decent and it was done by Roger Corman & also starred Horror legend Tony Todd.
THANKSKILLING (R) WARNER BROS. (2009)
Starring: Wanda Lust, Natasha Cordova, Lindsey Anderson, Lance Predmore, Ryan E. Francis & more.
With a name like
THANKSKILLING you know this is going to be a Comedy / Horror flick. Five college kids
returning home for the Thanksgiving holiday run into a possessed killer turkey. That's right, I said killer turkey!
They try to survive as the blood thirsty bird hunts them down and tries to kill them. There is a lot of almost
slapstick, spoof, parody comedy in the film mixed with a ton of bloody gore. The gore scenes are done more
comical, because you laugh more often than you are disgusted or disturbed. If you are a huge
TROMA fan then
you'll love this flick, but if not you'll want to avoid it. I could see this becoming a cult classic Horror film in about
ten years like
THE TOXIC AVENGER, STREET TRASH & SURF NAZIS MUST DIE.

ZOMBIES! ZOMBIES! ZOMBIES! (R) IN THE DARK ENTERTAINMENT (2008)
Starring: Lyanna Tumaneng, Jessica Barton, Hollie Winnard, Sean Harriman, Anthony Headen & more.
A mad scientist does some unorthodox drug tests experiments that turns a small town into flesh eating Zombies. A
drug addict breaks into the science lab and steals the drugs and smokes them. It turns him into a Zombie. He heads
on over to his favorite strip club before the transformation is complete. There he becomes full Zombie and of
course attacks the strippers. Now everyone is in panic mode and are trying to keep from being attacked and
turning into Zombies themselves. This was a cheesy Horror flick that played on the sex, because the story was
weak. It seemed almost like a rip off of the killer Zombie film
ZOMBIE STRIPPERS. This is a better film and has
better actors, gore, blood, nudity and story. Check this film out if you get a chance!

ZOMBIETHON (R) TARYN PRODUCTIONS (1986)

This flick is a compilation of clips from tons of Zombie films. There is some segments in between the clips of
different people (mostly women) being chased by Zombies into the theater where the clips are being shown. The
theater is also filled with Zombies watching the clips. The film clips are from all sorts of Zombie films from around
the world, some more familiar and some more obscure. Some of the clips include
WHITE ZOMBIE, ZOMBI,
ZOMBIE LAKE, OASIS OF THE ZOMBIES, THE INVISIBLE DEAD, A VIRGIN AMONG THE LIVING
DEAD, THE ASTRO ZOMBIES
