| TREATS FROM THE UNDERGROUND! magazine came into existence back in late 1997. Originally the magazine was born under the name of SATAN'S CANDY BASKET, named after a song I wrote while in my old band FAMILY OF FREAKS. I ran into many problems with the magazine's name & was only getting a few specific styles of music sent my way because of the word "Satan" in the title. I set out to support all of the styles in the underground scene with the magazine & I finally came to the decision to change the name! After 4 issues under the original name the magazine was reborn as TREATS FROM THE UNDERGROUND! There are 2 issues in print form under this name. After the 9-11-01 attacks here in the U.S. I could no longer afford to do the print version, so I transfered everything to a webzine! This has been a better inprovement because I can do more in a quicker time to get it out for public viewing! I do this all myself, not for the money (which isn't much), but for my love of music!
